Look at the last 20 years Congressional ratings.  Looks like Democrat controlled congress averages much lower on apporval and much higher on disapproval ratings than Republicans.  Very interesting.

The Democratic Party has a fifty-one to forty-seven majority in the Senate.

The Republican Party has a 241 to 192 majority in the House

Congress' Job Approval Rating Worst in Gallup History

Thirteen percent approve of the way Congress is handling its job

PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans' assessment of Congress has hit a new low, with 13% saying they approve of the way Congress is handling its job. The 83% disapproval rating is also the worst Gallup has measured in more than 30 years of tracking congressional job performance.

The american people in general are just disgusted with ALL POLITICS AS USUAL since it is the taxpayers that are getting raked over the coals buy the two party system.

Hell, it's not just the american people who have an opinion of their government........but other countries are chiming in too!

That may be true, but Americans approval of it's Republican congress is at 9%, while the approval of it's president has been in the mid 40%.

If the trend continues....americans will have a democratic congress and a democratic president in 2012. It's just the way the two party system turns historically.

The Presidnent has made an art form out of offering NO SOLUTIONS and distancing himself from any blame and responsibility.  He defers to Congress on everything.  He proposes no detailed plans.  He destroyed the Democrat majorities in Congress with his healthcare bill, now he is tactically playing the "do nothing" Congress and class warfare angle.  If Democrats had the ability to think for themselves, they would be pissed about the fact he sacrificed their Congressional majorities to keep the presidency.  

And don't forget that it's only 10 months into this Congresses term,  they need to have time to figure out what's wrong and how they can fix it, at least that's the way things go here, so it should pertain there, too.
