last week you claimed half of the one hundred cameras were decoys. untrue
second how do you even know there was a camera in the vicinity of the accident.
padding pensions. really. the asst chief positions are salaried. they retire on salary not ot and they replaced tge captain positions who were hourly employees who could pad their pensions. the latest revisions were done to elinate the expensive payouts which by the eay were not pensionable
the camera network is being expanded to catch more of these crimes in progress once it occurs they can review the footage immediately. whether someone was watching this when it happened would not have changed a thing
Your a smart one alright! You yourself just said the following things. The latest revisions were done to eliminate the expensive payouts which by the eay were not pensionable. and they retire on salary not ot. So if we take something that normally wasnt pensionable and make it pensionable, dont we pad the pensions? |

No, that would be pointing out the obvious, being transparent...all which no one wants to see. Two cameras at the intersection of Erie and State...both of which do not have a view of the busy intersection where a 19 year old was killed. At the Gazetto building a man was shot four times because the officers did not have tasers or taser training. Take the padded pensions, take the $5K raise ...it's not earned, it's stolen money. Start putting money into the officers training - even the officers are mad at the higher-ups greed. |

How can you write something like this when a young life was taken?!!!!!! Only someone without a heart or morals. My prayers and thoughts go out to this young woman's family. Can't imagine their grief |

CBS-6 is reporting that the name of this young woman who died is Cassandra Boone. She was an SCCC student walking to class.
There was also an arrest, but the suspect has not been named. They did not voluntarily turn him/herself in. |

bringing facts to this discussion is cheerleading
the asst chiefs had not had a raise in several years. five thousand dollar raise after several years without a raise equals a negligible increase on their pensions. the payouts would have amounted to several hundred thousand dollars. the largest hidden perk was longevity which was pensionable
they started the camera project in the hikl due to the violent crime primaily shootings and the open air drug dealing i thinkit was reasonable to start there eventually they will expand the cameras to cover as many areas as possible. it would be nice to have them everywhere at once but that isnt realistic.
the so called hidden perks came about because they tried to create non union management positions. the asst chiefs kept the longevity and holiday pay because they had that as union members. it was not an attempt to hide these for managers
yes officers shot a man while they were waiting for tasers. banal observation

Thank goodness the SCCC Administrators and the Republican legislators stood up to Susan Savage and her crazy idea of moving the SCCC music program downtown. Savage and the County Democrats had absolute total disregard for students and their safety. They actually proposed increasing student foot traffic crossing that busy intersection between the main campus to force more traffic downtown to give the illusion of "renaissance". Thankfully she is gone from Schenectady County politics and any input on the little miracle called Schenectady. |

Yes, putting the students into the 400 block is what has been happening in order to give preferred developers tenants. So what if the kids have to walk across busy intersections with speeding maniacs, lowlifes behind the wheel and horrible third world trained drivers? |

Right but no one stopped their other DEM insane idea to bail out the contributor at white elephant Center City. They had to fill the vast emptiness because no business in their right mind would open over there. Where are Death Ray's promised outdoor restaurants and bars? lol. |
