Throwing Money at the Problem doesnt appear to be helping.  Looking at the Schenectady School Districts Revenues from the NYS Comptrollers website 2000 to 2010 there was Total Debt up 100%.  Property Taxes Up 68%.  Looks like Federal Aid is bailing us out.

And to think they called Raucci a terrorist!!! OMG!

The liberal socialists moved too fast on trying to create a dumbed down society for the schools to keep up! And expect school taxes to only rise since there are soooooo many vacant properties. Combine that with the lost revenue in home sales where homes are devaluing at an alarming rate.

So schenectadians will be paying higher school taxes while receiving a school system that can barely graduate 50% of it's kids.

Great info Takingitback!!

The expenses are on the second half of the post.  Salaries = Instruction

they complain there are all these empty school buildings that were built when the boomers were a booming and now there isn't that much of a base to support them in old age and yet the schools
budgets go up and up and up...then they complain about crowded classrooms...then we have to deal with the contracts and numbers of days worked....

hhhhmmmmm......SHOW ME THE $$ TRAIL......
