the only idiot here is you salami.. your candidates got cleaned... riggi won because he had hul''s money backing him.. if not for that, he would have dived like zollinger. alliance party was a loser, loser, loser.. spin your fantasies but the truth remains, dem own the council and will likely control the mayor;s chair when all is said and done. and should hull win, he will run into nothing but problems and will be made a laughing stock when he can;t get anything done... either way, hull loses... plain and simple... he may be able to get in some of his republican cronies, brockbank and cueavas, but not much more than that... should hull get on council, look at 4 years of animosity and at the end hull's record will be a big zero
Some times it is better to have a big zero record rather than the City's free fall that Strattons and McCarthys records had created. Again, expect many of the city council to get on board with Hull. Hull will be a breath of fresh air. Remember McCarthy takes a backseat to no one. The City council members will be releaved to know that they will soon be heard. McCarthy was holding them back from there true potential. |

riggi is a nice guy but he will be froze out -- the dems will executive session without him and still pass their resolutions, he will be a squeaky wheel at most
You sound like your proud of that. If you think that what you just wrote is a good thing then you are an absolute idiot. You and DVR should practice mouth to mouth on each other because your brains are obviously starving for oxygen. |

What happened to your 25% victory for Goofy? What happened in Northside? ROTFLMAO!! Pathetic vote for Gary McCarthy on the CONS line-230 votes. He can't even get a third of the registered CONS. Vince Riggi crushed his DEM opponents by walking. An old fashion shoe leather campaign without one lying mailer. Roger Hull will win 200 of the paper ballot which are 3 to 2 non DEM. The DEM were so over confident they are crying in their beer today. "Leaders" are getting the heat for wasting money and time on County races. |

Fight continues in Electric City race Mayoral hopeful wants 8,950 paper ballots included in recanvass By LAUREN STANFORTH, Staff writer Updated 09:58 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2011
SCHENECTADY -- Mayoral candidate Roger Hull wants a state Supreme Court justice to order the counting of some 8,950 paper ballots to determine if he can overcome a 77-vote deficit against Democrat Gary McCarthy, the city's acting mayor.
On Monday, attorneys representing the former Union College president told Justice Vincent J. Reilly Jr. that a fire and bomb scare at the city's largest polling site, Schenectady High School, on Election Day have brought numbers from the seven districts that vote there into question -- and therefore the paper ballots that were fed there, and into all of the city's electronic voting machines, should be counted.
Arguments on both sides hinge on the accuracy of the new optical scan machines, which read marked paper ballots and are now required for all state elections.
Attorney Michael Cuevas, a former Republican mayoral candidate himself, said when the high school was evacuated for about two hours, the two machines there were disconnected from their main power source, operated on battery power in the parking lot, and then plugged in again when voting was moved back to the gymnasium. Long lines formed to vote outside, some of the privacy booths did not have pens, and one person was witnessed leaving with a ballot without it being scanned............................>>>>...................>>>>..................Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....78.php#ixzz1dltkFQmQ

Republican Art Brassard, one of the county's two election commissioners, said if a full recount is required, the Board of Elections would have to employ people for 12 to 14 hours a day to meet the state's Dec. 3 deadline to certify the election. "The cost with that would be significant," Brassard said. Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....78.php#ixzz1dmnD0hV9

If this was McCarthy asking for a recount, it would have begun already. The DEMS are running scared. They know that the incident at the high school is grounds for questioning. Disconnecting machines? Lines of voters with not enough staff to deal with this unforseen situation? Come on...if you're going to fight a fair fight, act accordingly. Then again, McCarthy is not a fair opponent and proved it early on with the Commissioner of Deeds power play. |

Panic and finger pointing has taken over at City Hall. While the Alliance Party identified their voters the overconfident DEMS wasted money on unimportant County races. 14-1 or 13-2 who cares? Who gave the order to unplug optical scanners and move them outside the High School? Whoever it was should be fired. There should be a Citywide recount. Let's see how accurate these scanners really are. |

14-1 is important at the County level -- because, as we move towards more shared services and eventual consolidation, the County Leg is where the REAL POWER is at |

I am pleased to see that Roger Hull even wants to bother continuing his quest after that asinine stunt at the high school. I'm surprised he doesn't just move away in disgust as so many others have. |

All opposition must be crushed beneath the DEM jack boot. City DEMS don't agree with you. No wonder 40% of City DEMS voted for Roger Hull. Here's the great news about absentee votes that's all over City Hull, 80% are voters from heavily Hull districts like the Stockade or GE Plot. The Alliance Party vote beat all minor parties COMBINED. The entitled DEM idiots are still crying about Riggi-get out more crying towels. |

It's beginning to look like the Democrat City monopoly is beginning to erode. Though it is very very small, it's a foot in the door. With Republicans winning council seats and Hull in a dead heat, we are beginning to see a slight momentum shift. The democops better hurry and pull the service consolidation drag net quickly before the growing opposition organizes. The unaffiliated, the Republicans, and the rank and file Conservatives are looking for a voice, and they should be able to put whatever minor differences aside to stop this corruption. |

Correct. The DEMS blank checks were removed. |

The rank and file real CONS deserted liberal Gary McCarthy in droves. He couldn't pull in even a third of the registered CONS. Unlike Nisky and Rott the City has elected non-DEMS. The GOP voters came out of the cupboard after years of sitting home. Wait until the absentees are counted, mainly from Hull strongholds. I have more crying towels for you entitled DEM fossils. We ran circles around you dinosaurs. |
