Any guesses what will happen to DVR aka Posts of No Substance, ScotsPedefileGod08 and the BananaSmoker after the results are in? |

Mayoral race might take holiday off Schenectady winner may ride on challenged ballots not yet added By LAUREN STANFORTH, Staff writer Published 10:35 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2011
SCHENECTADY -- City residents might be digesting their turkey Thursday and still not know who will be their new mayor.
That's because if Alliance Party candidate Roger Hull is less than 70 votes away from Acting Mayor Democrat Gary McCarthy when the absentee count is completed by Tuesday, the Alliance Party might ask the state Supreme Court to review and count ballots that had been previously objected to by either Hull or McCarthy's attorneys.
Such a court request, if filed Wednesday, would likely not be heard until Nov. 28 at the earliest.
"If there are 145 ballots in the judge's hands, wouldn't you ask that those be opened?" said Alliance organizer and attorney Michael Brockbank, a Republican, about the number of ballots that have been set aside since the absentee count began Wednesday. Currently McCarthy, the City Council president who took on mayoral duties after Democrat Brian U. Stratton's exit for a state job in April, is ahead by 65 votes.
Such a development would be yet another delay in what has turned out to be a long road to learning who will occupy the mayor's office come Jan. 1.............................>>>>......................>>>>...................Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....96.php#ixzz1eL7WFDRk

No reason to rush the count -- the ultimate victor, Gary McCarthy, is already working as Mayor. |

The DEM working together crew is so confident they have objected to over 140 ballots and are fighting a full recount. Of course, nothing usual with the biggest election site being closed with a bomb scare. They should have ripped down more Alliance signs and made more idiotic robo calls about Union tuition. |

I thought this was basically gonna be a "no contest" fight for MCC? Thought he had it in the bag?
Guess he never really banked on a race this close - even in his wildest dreams |

The city is 'clearly divided!!
McCarthy had the votes of the 'dumbed down' part of society. Hull had the 'informed, intelligent, hard working' part of society.
So now schenectadians will see what their city is made up of....huh? |

Anyone know what distric we are up to in the absentee count? It may be no indication or no correlation but I took the Results of the 2006 Race between Riggi and King and Districts 34 thru 45 were very stong on the Riggi side. So I would think that this year those would only be stronger since he won. Hull should also do well 34 thru 45. Any updates are appreciated.

Those Bellevue Districts will go last and that's when Roger Hull will pull ahead. You are right Hull did very well in Bellevue. Margaret King has pulled way ahead of John Mooto for the last Council seat. The voters do not want a public cricket field. Vince Riggi may move up to second if his huge abstentee vote continues. Vince walked his opponents into the ground-they prefer mail and bail. If McCarthy squeaks by he will pick Marion Porterfield for his old seat. UPDATE: As of 2pm today McCarthy lead down to only 60 votes with Bellevue's 118 left to open. Another 175 have been objected to by attorney's. This will have to go to court to get a decision on the 175 objections and whether to recount machines. |

The Nayboobs/NNTPers are just bunch of negative, nasty, lying terrorists who are hell bent on destroying our community and all that is good in it. They claim to support local business but don't have the decency to wish a family business well when it celebrates its 60th anniversary. The whole lot of them (the Nayboobs/NNTPers) can just KMA and go to you know where ....
