SCHENECTADY -- One man is in the hospital after he was shot in a botched robbery attempt, city police said.
Just before 7 p.m. Thursday, a group of young men approached a man walking by himself near the intersection of Crane and 8th streets, police said. They tried to rob him and when he refused, he was shot in the back.
The victim managed to escape and called police. He was taken to Albany Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

Home owners won't buy the homes so slumlords do, and they know they can get the GOVERNMENT to pay their rents through section 8. This is why the increased taxes mean nothing to the residents who rent (or live with aunties) because they don't CARE.
