the attack ads are on both sides.. please. someone on here said hull was launching an ad accusing mcc of raising taxes 150 percent,,, is that a sign of desperation>? lol

That is a lie! Just like the cartoon in the gazette this morning!! Misguided, misleading and totally bias!!! Gary McCarthy and his handlers are clearly throwing the mud in desperation.

And sure there is desperation on BOTH SIDES!

Difference is...............
McCarthy is the front man who has to desperately try like hell to hang on to the control and death grip the democops have on the city.
Hull is desperately trying to win to change this pathetic city around.

McCarthy has to throw mud will he can't run on his record of raising taxes 150%. 1,573 jobs lost by the working together DEMS COUNTYWIDE in 7 years. All the mud has come from the DEMS. Hull has run a positive campaign based on ideas not lying about job creation and tax cutting.  They can all read the polls and read the contributor's lists. McCarthy will lose because slumlords who gave him sign lists do not vote in the City. Neither do their tenants.

Honestly. I really think alot of those McCarthy signs out there are last ditch efforts to shield themselves from code enforcement.

Jobs authority focus of charter change
Referendum would clarify Schenectady Council power in workers' terms

By LAUREN STANFORTH Staff writer
Published 11:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011

SCHENECTADY -- A referendum on the ballot Nov. 8 will ask residents if the city charter should be changed to let the City Council be the sole entity setting terms of employment for Schenectady workers.

The charter change is "vesting in the City Council the sole and exclusive authority to determine the number of all city officers and employees of each office and department and to fix the salaries, compensation and benefits of all city officers and employees.".....................>>>>................>>>>.....................Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....14.php#ixzz1cXpYTFLP

Check out McClellan Street. Knock on any door and ask the tenant who Mercedes McCarthy is- lol. How to screw the City? Simple. Vote for Goofy for the fifth time and vote for his DEM morons for City Council. Vote NO! on Goofy's idiotic power grab amendment and dump all DEMS from City Hall. 35 years of DEM implosion is enough.

Totally agree that all the DEMS have done has been to sling mud because they have NO accomplishments to show for the past 16 years...well nothing which can actually be proven.

One would think that McCarthy would have found some budget cuts, taken a stand with the local unions...SOMETHING to show that he was competent to hold office. But he hasn't and resorting to a high school smear campaign has left his credibility at zero.

The Roger Hull campaign is much smarter than the boy scout camp mailing McCarthy fliers out.

Hull is combating the propaganda from McCarthy with facts.

That's not an attack, that's logic.

It's what people with spinal columns do - they tackle issues, not run away from them.

If it passes, will the council be so quick/diligent to enforce the residency requirement for city employees while doling out the many perks?
