If you haven't seen this movie take the time to watch it, this is a sci-fi movie but it's pretty scary if compared to what we see and have today. I was watching videos of the Oakland police tearing up the OWS movement and it reminded me of a scene in this movie. Enjoy

I'll check out the movie later today, I did see a couple videos from Oakland with the tear gas and flash "grenades" etc. Amid the chaos was a person pushing an elderly lady in a wheelchair trying to get her away from the smoke etc. She was with the Occupy group.

What bothers me after the Rodney King police verdict there were rioters beating people, burning houses and businesses and looting. Where were the rubber bullets and flash grenades then? Where were the thousands of arrests?

When I see the Occupy events they might "take over" a park, but they are for the most part peaceful.

sci-fi always gives a 'true view' of what we all miss in ourselves and the systems we have 'hope' in......
