The NNTP, which really stands for Nattering Nayboobs and Tea Partiers or No! No! To Progress or No! No! Town Police or No! No! Town Parks or No! No! Prosperity, are acting an awful lot Lois Griffin on "The Family Guy" when she ran for Mayor of Quahog. You see -- Lois Griffin had no idea how to run a city or even how to answer simple questions .. so her canned response to every question was "9-11" -- and she got cheers and was elected. Just say something that sounds popular and stirs emotions but doesn't really provide an actual SUBSTANTIVE, well-thought out plan to achieve the goal -- and expect to buffalo the voters into voting for you.
The same is true with Abbot, Marchinkowski, McGarry, Villano and Tomaselli -- they answered every question with "I don't know - but cut taxes". Well - to be fair - McGarry bragged about how humble he was and how his garage is still full of campaign signs. Villano told us he would put little old ladies who didn't cut their lawns in jail -- and we learned that Abbot and Tomaselli have nice families. But they have NOT offered a substantive, well thought out plan to achieve the goal of cutting taxes.
Partly, I think this is because they do NOT have a substantive, well thought out plan. McGarry is still listening to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck to tell him how to run the town. The NNTP slate hates government so much that they haven't even taken the time to LEARN how government works -- therefore they don't feel the need to actually sit down, think and come up with an actual plan to make it work better. The NNTP response is to KILL government .. chop it down .. cut it out .. stomp it out of existence.
Brian McGarry has said in the past that "if elected Town Supervisor" his "first action would be to abolish the town police department and tear up the contracts with civil service employees unions". That is BOTH frightening and absurd --- which is probably why he won't say that PUBLICLY this year. But in your heart, you know that is what he wants to do.
Brian McGarry was a failure on the Rotterdam IDA because he didn't believe in the town government working with the county government ... or any other level of government ... to promote economic revitalization. Can we afford to have another town supervisor (the third in a row) who REFUSES to dialogue with - let alone - work with other levels of government or other government entitites ?
VOTE FOR A TEAM WITH EXPERIENCE. VOTE FOR A TEAM WITH AN ACTUAL PLAN. VOTE FOR A TEAM THAT WILL WORK TOGETHER and ACCOMPLISH POSITIVE RESULTS.
Dems - new police/courthouse, sewers, will never hold REMS accountable, will favor police contracts/pensions even more and will eventually roll everything in the city/county, new multigenerational town hall, along with new park
Reps - no police station, REMS accountable, fair contracts, protect Rotterdam from city, no new town hall, fair contracts with unions, promote commercial development.
Oh and another thing
The endorsements of viscusi???????? Con? Indp? Who the hell hands out these endorsements? A golub warehouse guy w/ no education vs. A lawyer and doctor???? He must have interviewed a lot better than debate - or could it be these parties are more corrupted than imagined.

He can deliver his large family...The same reason the Republicans ran him...He will make ZERO decisions if elected, he will vote for whatever the bosses tell him to vote. That's what the Democrats thought DelGallo was going to be. It turned out a little different didn't it?
I forgot...we're only supposed to elect doctors and lawyers, not lowly "warehouse guys."
Kinda like yer only suppose to elect folks who don't chew gum!
