U.S. Explores Faster Afghan Handover

The Obama administration is exploring a shift in the military's mission in Afghanistan to an advisory role as soon as next year, senior officials said, a move that would scale back U.S. combat duties well ahead of their scheduled conclusion at the end of 2014.

Such a move would have broad implications for the U.S. strategy in Afghanistan. It could begin a phase-out of the current
troop-intensive approach, which focuses on protecting the Afghan population, in favor of a greater focus on targeted
counterterrorism operations, as well as training the Afghan military.

It is , what it is... We have spent too much money and lost too many troops over a piece of rock and a country that has two factions of the same religion that will NEVER get along.

Three in Four Americans Back Obama on Iraq Withdrawal (Gallup)

Americans widely support President Obama's recent decision to withdraw nearly all U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of the
year, with 75% approving. That includes the vast majority of Democrats and independents. Republicans, however, are
slightly more likely to disapprove than approve

ALL throughout history it seems folks die for nothing.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
