Box, aren't these the same people you call ignorant hayseeds?

Why don't you go to the Facebook occupy albany page and see what they think of Tea party members...in short, they want nothing to do with them. OA must be desperate for people to welcome tea partiers.

"SPIDER", the "smelly flea bagger" in the video, just proves that even a drugged biker is welcome to voice his views at Occupy Albany.

In general, the Occupy movement does not support either party, democrat or republican... but they especially don't support the
Conservative TeaBagger values... that got us here in the first place.

Give me a break! I be willing to bet you anything, if you asked any assembly of fleabaggers, you' get an 80/20 dem/pub split at the very least.

Go to any Occupy FB page or site, they do not like the Tea party. The only reason this guy is tolerated is A. they need numbers. B. They can hold him out as the average teabagger.

BTW, the freak show has begun. I spotted about 10 of them heading to Lafayette park.. so did the Albany PD, I have been working downtown for 7 years and have never seen as many bicycle cops.. The tow trucks will be busy this weekend.

Some rough demographics at Occupy NYC:

~They aren’t all kids.  One-third of respondents is older than 35, and one-fifth is 45 or older.

~“Get a job!” ???
Half of the respondents are already employed full-time,
And an additional 20% work part-time.
Just 13.1% are unemployed... just over the national average.

~ 15% earn between $50,000 and $80,000 annually
Thirteen percent earn over $75,000 annually,
and nearly 2% bring in more than $150,000.

~ 27.3% of respondents call themselves Democrats
2.4% are Republican
And the rest, 70% call themselves independents.

The majority of those camping DON'T have jobs.. The camping out thing is what is irritating most observers and neighbors.
Anything under 80K is at the poverty level in NYC.

The smelly flea baggers have more in common with Hitler Youth than our Founding Fathers/Tea Party. Some would prefer to send out disinformation from afar- the further the better from the sights and smells. The fact that the American Nazi Party, crazed Iranian mullahs, Obama and Barney Frank all support this "movement" says it all. A collection of fruit and nuts.

I didn't realize that Tbird had such difficulty with math.  Let me break it down for you:

"~ One-third of respondents is older than 35, and one-fifth is 45 or older."

One third is 33%
one fifth is   20%
total            53%
That leavs    47% who are under age 35... not the 66% that you posted.

You must have worked at NINA jewelers years ago (Ask any long term WPYX listener about NINA MATH)

It depends on how the poll was tabulated. If the question was "are you older than 35?".. WHICH IS WHAT YOU POSTED, EINSTEIN, doesn't a 65 year old have to answer yes? Now, if the question was what percentage of people were 35-45 AND what percentage 45 and up and they came up with those figures, you are right...BUT IT IS NOT ASKED THAT WAY OR YOU DID NOT POST IT CORRECTLY. It doesn't look like I have a problem with math but you might have an issue with reading comprehension and have an interesting problem with math.

Bottom line, your statement says 33% are 35 and UP (yes, that means above 45 too), so, that means the rest are under 35 , which is 66%

My NINA math:
I checked another site for the demographics, who put the numbers in a more understandable format, instead of raw numbers
that I posted.

64
Percent of those in the Occupy Wall Street movement who are under the age of 35, according to the surveyed by Baruch College
professor Hector R. Cordero-Guzman and business analyst Harrison Schultz.  (This poll has some serious other problems associated with it but I assume these numbers are correct)

I see... 64% vs 66%... I was way off

Occupy protesters gather next to NY state Capitol
October 21, 2011 2:54 PM
Associated Press
ALBANY -- The movement that began last month on Wall Street to protest the influence corporate money has on government has
reached the state's seat of political power.
An "Occupy Albany" encampment has sprung up Friday at a park in sight of the granite walls of the state Capitol. Politicians there
could be asked to decide a question central to the Occupy protests that have spread around the nation: Should the very rich pay
more in taxes?
Taxing millionaires is one item on the demonstrators' list that includes ending U.S. wars abroad and curbing greed and the influence
of Wall Street.
About 75 protesters, many college age but ranging from high school students to retirees, have gathered in the afternoon in Lafayette Park, across from the statehouse.

Oh NO!!!
A Ron Paul Supporter interviewed at Occupy Albany!!!
(This guy must be the "smelly flea bagger" I keep hearing about on this board.)

Funny, I'm sure that you wouldn't even take the time to find out anything about this person.  Yet, you call names before even listening to his arguments.  Spyder is a great guy, and a good Constitutionalist.

NOPE!  Don't get me wrong Rampage... those were Benny's words for these people... See Reply #13

Another small turnout of smelly flea baggers with more press than protestors. Try and interview them on camera and put it up here. Anti-Zionist, anti-capitalist, anti-American. But for free food.

I respect anyone's right to a peaceful protest (Uggg, Choke, Even if it's a protesting TeaBagger)

Spyder sounds like a well informed citizen... more so than some on this board.  Although I disasgree with his opinion, I agree with his right to voice that opinion.  I would be interested in seeing him at an Occupy Event.
