Found this on youtube. If it weren't so sad it could be funny!

McCarthy can't find any cuts? He's used to cutting the cheese at every Council meeting. Thank You DEM morons! While all other cities are cutting spending and lower taxes The Pit Bull City keeps it's number one tax rating in NYS! Goofy McCarthy has raised taxes 150% during his 16 years of public service. 16 years? It only seems like 20. Write in Gary McCarthy for City Court Judge since he is a law enforcement "expert" let him run all three branches of government.

This should be the last straw for any thinking resident. In a budget of $79 MILLION none of these brain dead DEM puppets can find a single cut. The only change is adding more expenses! You can't make this up. Schenectady is losing $500,000 a week and they keep on fiddling. Throw the bums out!

McCarthy hasn't figured out the contract for sale of city water to Niskayuna yet? Money that could be made by our City (we have the best tasting water?) and McCarthy can't figure out how to negotiate a contract with a neighboring town?

That's money down the drain...again......

Fact is that he is trying to figure out a way to screw it up enough so Hull can't benefit from it when he is elected but save it enough to take credit for it.  Just like his recent maneuverings with the City Council powers.

Here are the facts about the City's Profit and Loss numbers since 1998.  These are straight from the NY Comptrollers Website.  The expenses will be in the following posts.

Dont let the Real Property Tax number fool you.  the only reason they went down is due to the fact that between $4 and $6 million of it is going unpaid.  The citizens are tapped out.  The Sales Tax numbers are flat.  Economic Fees are through the roof.  "Sanitation Income" has more than doubled.  FINES have tripled.  And contrary to what Gary McCarthy likes to tell you, State and Federal aid has not been cut.  Infact, it has more than doubled since 1998.

The rundown on the expenses since 1996.  Operations up 6 fold.  Administration up only 50% Police and fire up 50%.  Developement of Infrastructure almost doubled from last year alone.  Water is down-flat?!?!?!?!  Interesting considering the new fees.  Sewer up almost double.  Refuse and Garbage only up slightly.  You wouldnt think it considering all the hoopla and raised fees.  Medical insurance tripling.  This is straight up incompetence.

I would if I could.  The problem is that you can only view and download to excel one year at a time on the website below.  It took me a while, but I had to take all the years and combine them into one to get the trends.  The link below can be used to get more of the details.  I just posted the "highligh
ts" if you want to call them that.  Do you know a way to upload an excel sheet.  I could do that.

Did you know that the county is charging the city 4.5% interest on the money that it overpaid the city in sales tax in 2000 through 2002.  Working together works!
