A Metroplex funded business now on the auction block. Will the Parker Inn follow suit?

Does this mean that ANYONE can come and and put a bid on this location?

The State is not going to wait until after Election Day to accommodate the working together incompetents? Third bankruptcy for the Death Ray. Getting to be routine. Anyone can bid provided you have deep pockets to pay all the prior tax liens and loans. Maybe this will wake some sheeple up. One party never works!

So, if the Plex never found the Gazetto owner, this property would go nowhere...right? I mean who is going to pay all the back taxes? AND (it's a BIG AND) the Metroplex loan is unsecured correct. Therefore, during foreclosure that loan wouldn't have to be repaid by the buyer.

Metroplex must be taking notes from the Federal Gov't slew of failed loans: get a patsy to cover your incompetence.

Unsecured creditors like Metroplex are expected only to receive a small portion of their original investment, if anything.

Another great decision and return on the taxpayer's investment made via the metroplex/gillen!!!!

Van Dyke I and II, Olender's, Trustco HQ/Failed County Office Building, Kem Cleaners, Robinson's Retail Mecca, old DSS on Nott St, Schenectady Armory, Schenectady Steel, Nova Bus, Perenzo's. But who's counting? The DEM working together morons need more parking on Erie for their high dreck corridor. And they created 4,000 jobs-lol. Where? They meant 40,000 jobs left the County since 2000.

Is that all you think the taxpayer's have lost is $40K????? Get a new adding machine.

GE left NYS and initially moved south for cheaper labor and cheaper taxes!! Now they just moved out of the entire country for cheaper labor and cheaper to no taxes and for a HIGHER PROFIT MARGIN.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist here smokey! REALLY!
Just someone who understands even a little smiggin' of  economics, free market and capitalism.

It's one in the same. GE is bailing out the federal gov't because they loaned $535 million to a now bankrupt solar panel company - look at Aurora...don't look at the millions of federal taxpayer money lost.

The Gazette Owner is bailing out Metroplex after they made an unsecured loan with Cornells. Don't look at the foreclosure - look at a 'friend' helping a 'friend' - what a joke.

New York State public benefit corporations and authorities operate like quasi-private corporations, with boards of directors appointed by elected officials. Public authorities share characteristics with government agencies, but they are exempt from many state and local regulations. Of particular importance, they can issue their own debt, allowing them to bypass limits on state debt contained in the New York State Constitution. This allows public authorities to make potentially risky capital and infrastructure investments without directly putting the credit of New York State or its municipalities on the line. As a result, public authorities have become widely used for financing public works, and they are now responsible for more than 90% of the state's debt. The growing influence of public authorities over state and local financing, coupled with their ability to avoid regulations applicable to government agencies, has led to calls for reform. Some reforms were passed in the Public Authorities Accountability Act of 2005.[1
