Again, if anyone knows of a 200,000 - 300,000 square-foot warehouse facility in the Capitol District or even in NY State that is available, notify General Electric, and keep these jobs in NY.
GE is willing to spend $300 million on the site.

(But if you just want display cynical behavior... continue)

GE is willing to spend $300 MILLION in Colorado not NYS. The decision has been made and Death Ray fell on his face as usual. He should stick to governmental gin mills where he has expertise. There's a bigger empty warehouse than that in Schoharie County off I-88 where a mill used to be. It doesn't matter.

Quoted from rachel72
2557 Aqueduct Road, Niskayuna is for sale for $1.4 million.

On 7.7 acres, has currently 4 buildings with 44,000+ sq feet in space with lots of surrounding land for development.

The building is five times too small for GE's needs.  Again, to build from scratch would take at least a year and a half  to license, bid, permit, then the time to build a building on a vacant lot.

GE needs a 200,000 to 300,000 sq ft warehouse type structure.

Can't blame GE. Big business has to go where there are 'employable people'. GE's not stupid. They know what the welfare climate is in schenectady. Perhaps Colorado has more 'brain power'. It would be interesting to compare welfare statistics!

Buildings too large:
Cobleskill Warehouse 460,000 sq ft
Hudson Valley Crossing, Montgomery, NY 1,200,000 sq ft
378 Gros Blvd., Herkimer, NY  452,000 sq ft
Sherrill, NY 1,035,000 sq ft

Too Small
99 Harris Street, Fulton, NY190,000 sq ft
$1,600,000

253 E. Main Street, Frankfort, NY  265,000 sq ft
consisting of a series of manufacturing, warehouse and office buildings

132 Flatbush Ave, Kingston, NY 218,820 sq ft.
218,820 SF comprised of a combination of (3) separate, but connected,...

I would contact GE if you find a building that seems to meet their needs... These Don't.
