City cheerleader repeatedly says:

Quoted Text
Crime is down in the city.    The city is safe.     The city is wonderful

But the  city he says is so wonderful, but as far as moving and living in the city. HE WON'T TOUCH IT WITH A TEN FOOT POLE.   He wouldn't even DREAM about buying a house where there are daytime shootings and alm,ost the highest taxes in the whole country, and house values plummeting.

Don't forget about the gunshot victim who ran his car into the fence on Union while driving himself to the ER (that was Sunday afternoon).

BTW, this gunshot victim/driver was from Brooklyn. Hummmm, what  are the odds that someone from Brooklyn would be in Schenectady AND get shot as well?

Shhhhhhhhhhhh! There's no crime in a Renaissance!

The big cheerleader--the cheerleader for raising taxes on financially struggling homeowners in order to give 100% (and higher) tax exemptions on the millionaires downtown---the cheerleader is SPEEECHLESS.   Four DAYTIME shootings in five days --- the very lives of the children are at risk in ths city, shool has to go on lockdown!   And that is NOT, I repeat NOT the first time that the school had to go into lockdown due to shootings !    (a shooting is a shooting regardless of who shoots whom,)

Things are great- the renaissance is in full swing. Look at the pretty buildings downtown!

The lives of children potentially are in danger and all you can say is ho hum?    How pathetic are you.   You think it's just fine that shootings occur during the day and a school has to go in lockdown.....all becuase the dems blow money on downtown which has NOT done ANYTHING to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods!

No one has said that there is no crime in the city --- no city can make that claim.  But the crime rate is down and our Police Department is working vigorously with other agencies to continue reducing crime.

I think most on the force are working very hard.

But poor parenting and the entitlement society are overwhelming the system, regardless of what the crime data says.  No one can legitimately say crime is lower today then say 10 years ago.

What was the crime 10 years ago.......toilet papering a house on holloween? Under age drinking? Speeding? I mean really......Perhaps the type of crime should be compared as opposed to 'how many'....yes?

I think we can all agree that today there are more violent crimes. Crime may be down...but I don't believe for a minute that violent crimes are down. And ya don't need to read it in the gazetto.......some folks actually do live it and see it  every single day.

Oh my God, quality of life and the entire population has gone SO FAR down the tubes the past decade. I think I would know what I am talking about. It has gotten BAD.

There were more murders and other violent crime 10 years ago -- and my statements are not based on anything written in the Daily Gazette is in the actual crime statistics.

More disinformation. Based on FBI and State stats Schenectady County is the most violent in Upstate New York. It is not safer than 10 years ago and 3 shootings in 4 days is not something to cheer lead about. Of course when you move from Mt Pleasant to Rotterdam it may seem better to you. Sell it to some child at MLK school who has to go through yet another lock down.
