Thank you Vince Riggi for asking the real questions surrounding the Taj Mahal garage.

Also, the older population really does need to be heard because they ARE suffering financially with all the tax increases and fee mismanagement. The City Council and Mayor may dismiss their comments and forget about them after their 3 minutes are up, but their voices are VERY loud at the polls. They are a large part of the voting population in the City.

I believe that Pat Zollinger spoke on how Gary McCarthy will be voting on the budget. However, the role of the mayor is to 'present' the budget....not vote on it.

Not if you are wearing 3 hats! Then you present vote YES and create jobs all at the same time.

The highlight of the night was Clerks Tim Conway's announcement of the Woodlawn Reform Church debate. DEM morons only! In typical one party style only DEMS will be allowed to participate. Another example of working together to insure one party retains control. By any means necessary.

Not according to the ACLU or Attorney General. But who cares? We are protecting one party DEMS here. Many lob jobs at stake-look at McCarthy's City Hall haul. They are working together to screw every taxpayer. Everything else is secondary.

I really wish that everyone would stop replying to SM, GG and DV.  All they provide is jabs here and there but no facts.  It’s kind of like attending a city council meeting.  The informed only get three minutes while the "gifted" can ramble on and on about everything but the city just wasting everyone’s time.
In the end, the fact is that the DEMS had a long time with total control of everything and we are now at a point where things appear to be out of control.

Things to ponder:
1.     How can 3,500 to 5,000 jobs be added as declared by the “Mayor” yet the overall property tax base has been lowered.  Can they name the top 3 of the 3,500 to 5,000 jobs created/transferred stole from the other neighboring jurisdictions?
2.           How is Hull/Union College taking properties off the tax rolls and renovating them and at the colleges cost (not the taxpayers) worse than letting them deteriorate to a level that we would be discussing their removal today if they didn’t.
3.           How is it that the city only took in between $300 and $1500 in scrap income the past 4 years.  The average scrapper in the city takes more than that to Predel’s in a year.  Could the city workers be trading it in on the city’s time, with the city’s vehicle and the city’s gas?
4.           How are we supposed to believe that the city is improving when the “Mayor” is expecting 25% jumps in things like Parking Fines.  Jump from $650,000 to $800,000 in a 2 year time frame.  All while also expecting 25% more in Parking Meter  fees.  I might not be seeing it but will they be paying more or less and therefore fines more…
5.  How can they reduce the Allowance for Uncollected Taxes when things are getting worse year over year?
6.  Why does the current “Administration” lock the pdf copies of the proposed budget’s so that they can’t be printed?
7.   How did the Golf Course operate for the past decade with such poor drainage?
8.  Why is it virtually impossible to get an inexpensive copy of the city codes and without a hassle. Why isn’t there a copy on the city website…..oh right some other company has a copyright one it.  Now that’s funny stuff.
I  have become real confused at reading their posts .  Either they are antidemocratic and their goal is to energize the contenders to the current “Administration” or… they are just that foolish and they are inadvertently energizing the contenders to the current “Administration”.  Either way I would like to thank them.

They can anything they want because 60% of the voters are brain-dead, welfare slurping pigs at the trough who will vote democrap no matter what. Are you blind?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Amen. They are paid trolls who have been sent here by Quail to get you off topic. What they are doing is energizing an anti-DEM backlash. Never have seen so many anti-DEM signs in the City. It's not just the GE Plot. Everyone is uniting behind the Alliance Party and Roger Hull for Mayor. This includes many DEMS who are tired of the constant lies about job creation, progress, affordable housing and cost cutting. 35 straight years of DEM control of the City Council is enough. Throw the bums out!

p.s. Takeitback, u are new here, fresh out of the cocoon, so to speak, so u will get a pass for now.

but word to the wise, don't believe half of what benny slimey says and discount the other half -- because those are just the voices in his head arguing with each other.

half the time he is a channelling nonsensical GOP hate and the other half he is chanelling Roger the Dodger's arse.

Hey,,,TIB...ask for the CAFR...from the city and the county.....

Quoted Text
What St. Augustine had to say about what we now call government:

"A gang is a group of men under the command of a leader, bound by a compact of association, in which the plunder is divided according to an agreed convention. If this villainy wins so many recruits from the ranks of the demoralized that it acquires territory, establishes a base, captures cities and subdues peoples, it then openly arrogates to itself the title of kingdom, which is conferred on it in the eyes of the world, not by the renunciation of aggression, but by the attainment of impunity"

http://cafr1.com/

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
