why start off with 'you all should volunteer'? because he feels he did?
I think folks are annoyed....especially the one's that actually pay taxes....the ones that dont and get services think they dont get enough and get annoyed.....so I'm not sure how asking the folks he leads to volunteer at this time will build a bridge or even make progress out of the dark-well Schenectady is in.....
I'm sure he's not a bad guy.....but it has a slow backward reputation and a GREAT cast system.....one we can no longer afford.....purchasing comfort for those 'in need' turns out to become never ever enough.....humans have voracious appetites....
I'm all for success of the individual, but guilt comparing oneself to others and asking them to volunteer is no answer from a political leader....

McCarthy should go to some food pantry and see how he and his buddies are making the people struggle.....and not just homeowers but also renters who are paying higher rents because he and his dem buddies exempt the miiionaires from paying taxes, thus making the financially struggling homeowners and renters pay more
Let's see if McCarthy goes and helps out at the old St. Lukes school with the Thanksgiving baskets.
Let's see if McCarthy does a photo op with the millionaires downtown by having Mallozzi cater a free Thanksgving dinner for Schenectady's financially struggling residents perhaps at fat rich Morris' catering hall.
