You don't know how correct you are. The City DEMS had to have an emergency meeting at Gary's house. They are in a total panic. Things ain't going too good. The polls are horrible. Thinking DEMS {that actually pay City taxes unlike the sock puppets here} are all voting for Roger Hull. Everyone is laughing at McCarthy's 4,000 jobs crap, his garbage truck photo op and the fact that McCarthy screwed all taxpayers with his 7% tax increase through fees. He couldn't beat Al either.
Roger Hull is not associated with the NNTP. Actually I think Mr. Hull's billboards are much more effective. Mr. McCarthy appears to be pushing his recycling plan and that too is good.
However, I think its poor judgement to use our city workers in such a fashion. They are the ones doing the work while McCarthy gets all the credit.

and as for riding the garbage trucks or in police cars .. I think every mayor has done that .. it maybe for a photo-op but it also lets them see the reality of what the city workers actually do -- so I have absolutely no problem with it

Gary McCarthy is not the most personable guy goin'. He would have a far better chance at winning ANYTHING if he dropped the arrogant attitude with the taxpayers. He like many democons are out of touch and don't even try to relate to the working taxpayers. Riding on a garbage truck, campaigning on the taxpayer's dime is not the relief the taxpayers are looking for.
