I turned osm on last night to see if they were airing the Rotterdam meet the candidates forum.............Glenville was on........I have no idea when Rotterdam's will show up.............maybe 'round Thanksgiving........

Having gotten as far as the county legislators a couple of thoughts........if I was to rate each person on what I viewed it would be:
Abbott Bradshaw Mercoglan
Marchinkowski (sp?) Jasenski Santabarbara
Can't any of the Dems introduce themselves without notes? Jasenski and Santabarbara seem clueless to me.. Seemed like nobody except Abbott could answer any of the questions........dems had all the cliches down.............Abbott was the most honest in all respects IMO
I wouldn't vote for Mercoglan simply because he's been in too long...........term limits, term limits, term limits.......
No surprise to me that DM was not even mentioned...sounds like the GENTLEMAN'S CLUB ELIMINATES ONE
tooooooo bad....sooooooooooo sad.
Haven't read my spotlight yet........................supervisors a little tough for me right now.........Buffardi's too smooth......don't trust him.........I'm in favor of changing the term of supervisor to 4 years, so in a way I'd like to see what Frank could do here with 2 more years..............but I also liked McGarry's sincerity...just need to know more about him.....although I did like the fact that he's still got a bunch of his signs sitting in his garage
Again, if you need to use a cue card to tell me about yourself, you come off with a lot less credibility than the guys who aren't reading.........Dems listen up....your candidates are old literally and figuratively......please this town needs younger people running things..........that's the future........Villano and Tomaselli were both credible, sincere and informed.....I'm not sure Viscusi even answered the first question......Villano and Tommaselli had excellent thoughts and opinions on the first question... Calder seemed lost.....re the question about Curry Rd. and Grand Union...Calder said something about plans being finalized on something....what's that about?.....Villano didn't really focus on the question...seemed to be more about code enforcement than what should be done with those two area..........and I'm sorry, he may be a nice guy, but Viscusi is clueless and shouldn't even be running...........it almost seemed Calder was looking for sympathy in his closing statement........overall I have to say I'm most impressed with the Villano and Tommaselli they're both smart, concerned about our community and young.........we need folks like that
Finally made it through the whole thing...........you can tell Andrea's new to this, but I like her honesty...........my feeling on Diane is she's been around too long and needs to go away.......the third candidate wasn't there..........listening to the Highway candidates was like listening to people running for student council in high school................I don't think either of these positions should be an elected office, so I'll just leave it at that........
if you think Abbot had the answers -- then you must be eating lead paint chips daily

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
It would be a pleasant scene to see some young blood sitting on the Town Council...these has beens have been seated long enough...change is ideas, change is compromise, change is knowledge...and change means to enhance. and do this with Villano and Tommasell
And with Andrea elected as TC that would be the setting for fresh new faces and ideas that would compliment the Town and the residents....and maybe be unbiased and impartial to a new government for the TOWN. from what is said on this blog....all former Supervisors and the like never did a good job..
.that's scary.
new is better...give these new faces the challenge with a new light.
Calder always refers to a "team" effort....like a police squad ???
It will do the town good to elect NEW TB... .fresh blood and not in the folds of the Gentleman's Club plus ONE
HB is too government politically minded...all well and good with his credentials...but the same words do not tell me what he is all about. the puppet for the puppetmasters.
It appears that if Andrea gets elected, it will be the first time in a v-e-r-y long time that rotterdam will have someone YOUNG and fresh in that office!!!!! HOW REFRESHING!!
And unlike dm....ac is NOT politically connected or embedded or nasty!!! She is just a breath of fresh air for rotterdamians!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
