Quoted from benny salami
They had to go to State Legislature to screw the City kids and County taxpayers-so what is new? Everyone is laughing at McCarthy joke budget that raises tax bills 7% triples all fees and depletes reserves.  Saratoga just cut $800,000, Troy cuts taxes. Albany has no taxes increases. Meanwhile in Pit Bull City, McCarthy keeps hiring incompetents and explodes spending.

Find it quite illegal that $2 million paid by the taxpayers for water and sewage 'fees' are now allowed by the State Comptroller to pay off City debt.

THEREFORE, the fee money is now getting intertwined with tax money. Taxpayers service money is AGAIN wasted on City leaders fiscal incompetence. Taxpayers pay for services which will now be underfunded because the City is using this money elsewhere.

So tangled, so corrupt and so tranparent it's blinding.

I wouldn't be so comfy in that nest SB. A LOT of peoples feathers are getting ruffled with this budget.

Gravel, you better start making plans for your road trip. NOTHING is over. It's kinda like buying a house, the deal isn't done until you have the keys in your hand.

You don't have the keys yet my dear.

ASK THE ELECTED ABOUT THE CAFR AND COLA'S.......ASK WHERE THAT 'GUARANTEED' MONEY IS.......SAME WITH COUNTY AND STATE..........

SHAME SHAME SHAME.........

of course they take it from somewhere......there IS NO cutting......they missed the class and continue to wear the golden jock strap for prestige and fun,,,,,,certainly not to take care of the REAL gameplays......it's always about their own
field position.....never about the entire game plan.......

people vote with their wallets. it is an age-old political truism... they will vote for mccarthy and for most of the dems on city council.. i am not sure about mootervan,,, i think riggi and dukes have a chance. the others, well, same old, same old.

there is not enough anger in the city to overturn the status quo,, and frankly,,, most people see things turning around for them. so there u go.

done deal. stick a fork in it..
kudos to roger for mounting a good campaign but jeers for running it like an amateur. he should have nailed more minor party lines - then this would be a tighter contest.

my prediction: mcc  by 25 points.

Not hard to come up with budget numbers when you don't cut or change anything.
