[color=red][/color]'Down-State Sheldon Silver' aka Majority Leader in NY State Assembly lies when he tells the truth. It is such with politicians, it is ingrained in them. On the Fred Dicker Show 1300-AM Mr Silver made the following statement, "the majority of the CSEA voted to accept the Governors offer" - WRONG. Mr Silver hopes PEF will do likewise. A majority of a minority voted to accept the Governors offer. Something like 50% of CSEA membership did not participate in vote. Is the glass half empty or half full, looks like half empty to me. It is an American tradition, rule by vocal minority. The speaker 'lied' when he attempted to tell the truth. Fred Dicker dropped the ball in not challenging the speaker on his assertion. That to is an American tradition, we do not challenge elected officials anywhere as much as we should.  |
