Maybe if the woman, and the man, used some discretion and understood the consequences of their actions, it never would have been a decision anyone would have to make.

This has nothing to do with controlling women....that is ludicrous at best!!

It is all about killing an unborn human being that has it's own DNA at conception. It is an immoral, selfish, senseless act of murder. Reproduction is the core and jewel of civilization. Producing life beyond one's self with it's own DNA specific to that one human is paramount for mankind and it's future.

If the unborn could speak they would be pro-choice. Just ask my sister-in-law that is a survivor of her mother's attempt at a half failed abortion!! She was a twin...the other twin didn't survive. TRUE STORY!!

The issue is an abstract debate for men, for many women, it's much more than that, both for and against.

Let's start by stopping the brainwashing of young girls and boys, by calling the developing fetus a random clump of cells and diminishing the value of  life.  Maybe then the decision to have sex or unprotected sex will weigh heavier on their conscience knowing the consequence is a human life.  If we continue to treat the developing fetus like a benign cancer, then as a society, we perpetuate the irresponsible behavior that leads to pregnancy.

Our Federal Government sued tobacco companies and used the money settled in the lawsuit to fund an ad campaign to show the negative health effects of smoking.  In the most recent commercial, they very graphically show a man sitting in a wheel chair, hooked up to oxygen, coughing violently. Apparently the person has a lung disease.  I don't know how successful the ad in relation to the number of people smoking, but I remember it.  

I believe if there was a similar ad campaign graphically showing the development of the fetus and the end result of an abortion, you may actually then begin to change people’s attitude toward casual sex and the REAL consequences of their actions.IMO

As I've posted all along, this isn't about abortion a fetus, it's about legislating morality.  "Weigh heavier on the conscience..." if you have sex, you will pay the price... SO DON'T HAVE SEX!

We legislate morality all the time...Incest, polygamy, smoking laws, alcohol laws, drug laws...

I'm not talking about legislating in my last post; I was suggesting an information campaign, similar to the tobacco campaign.  If people then choose to have sex and choose to have an abortion, all I'm suggesting is they know that it's not a 'mass of tissue' but rather a human life they are choosing to destroy.  This isn't a LAW, but rather INFORMATION.

The rabid left doesn't even want educate people of the facts about the decision to abort.  They want to redefine and diminish human life to make sure the abortion mills stay open and make money.

Cicero and Bumble--as usual you got this whole thing wrong.  Boxy has got it right.  You speak for no one and certainly not the unborn.  Why don't you people work on a 40 day campaign to end homelesness in the Capital District?  Let's see you offer yourselve to help out at a shelter.  There's a community you could begin to help and if you are really tied to politics you could begin to legislatively help their plight.

An ad campaign showing the image of an aborted 20 week old fetus ISN'T opinion - it is FACT.  I'm not talking about informing people about the LEGAL description and recognition of the unborn fetus, but the biological stage of development of the unborn fetus.  This is about showing the aborted fetus of a LEGAL abortion.  I'm coming your way box, I'm not legislating, but would like to see people make an INFORMED CHOICE.  Again…information campaign, NOT legislating morality.  

In your fantasy land, a 20 week fetus is the same as a chicken egg, or a zygote, or a turd, or it's anything but a human.  You would benefit from this campaign, because it would contrast the difference between a chicken egg and a 20 week human fetus.  I'm confident even YOU could see the difference.

And what about the plight of the unborn? Who will speak for them? The most innocent and vulnerable that are murdered for a crime or action they did not commit. The senseless murder of a human being that has it's own DNA from conception. Aseperate DNA from it's mother/father/vessel. A DNA that no one else in the world has. Again.......the core of all civilization!! The building blocks for the future of all humanity.
