oh boy,,,,glad we 'helped' this grant......so folks are stupid and lazy.....eat salt....who cares....it's your choice NOT to gather/kill/cook for yourself......

BTW...we already pay public schools to incorporate proper nutrition in Healthclass/biology/science classes/home ec classes......now we pay again for the lazy bunch......pathetic....

Let's not forget that your doctor also dispenses that information to their patients.

Thank you working together crew! We don't know nuthing about no sodium. We need our County "brain trust", who refuse to reconsider a $11 MILLION a year tax COUNTYWIDE increase, to tell us all about sodium. Great use of precious tax resources. No wonder this County has the worst deficit in history and County taxes 4X higher than Saratoga County.

Obviously this is yet another  means by which the dems in the county are giving money to some political cronies.    Rape and rob the taxpayers to pay some political cronies to put together this "ad campaign" for something that taxpayers are told by their doctor, for information they can read on line, in health magazines, in conversatiosn at work, in information that comes from their children's schools, et6c

So can anyone.....can DV tell us WHY the taxpayers have tio pay for this?

let's toss it over our shoulders and see if that will remove the county voodoo.....

however, dont think this doesn't have a BIGGER picture ripple effect......national/state/county government healthcare MUST drive down the cost of acute visits via the 'controllable one's'......the eat'em quick factories are being held accountable
in a way, for MR/MRS Jones' congestive heart failure and kidney problems......and if they are too lazy to gather/cook/eat right and pay the eateries as their main source they will cost the taxpayers thousands in the government system
every time they visit the hospital/clinic/MD.....

ITS A BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION OF THE MASSES...BECAUSE WHY--------? GO AHEAD GUESS......NO REALLY....BECAUSE IT MAKES TOTAL SENSE.....

BECAUSE HEALTHCARE IS A------RIGHT?........what an F'en scam......

?  the CDC Awards $1.9 Million for State and Local Sodium Reduction Initiatives

Five states and communities across the country will receive a total of $1.9 million for sodium (salt) reduction efforts, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced today. The awards will support policy strategies to create healthier food environments and help reduce sodium intake in the population for a three-year funding period.

This is part of the war on drugs effort

They have money for that, but not to give out to those who lost their homes in the floods

The CDC should spend more time telling folks to learn to cook for themselves......failure to thrive comes in many forms and I dont think the public should have to support folks inability to 'thrive'......

it's like all those yuppy farmer's markets......I'm sorry you moved to the city to 'do better' , rather than provide for yourself.....but if your survival skills are such that you pay for others to feed you, I bet I win in the woods.....
my rabbit and my apple.....and I'm not sharing......and I shouldn't have to educate your dumb lazy a$$......I ALREADY PAID FOR THAT WHEN YOU WERE IN PUBLIC SCHOOL.....GET OFF MY BACK YOU FOOLS.....

They gave 'sodium' grant money to Tops Diner, whose owner sits on the 'Conservative' committee which coincidentally endorses every liberal democrap that exists. Strange, isn't it?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
