does anyone want to venture how far above the tax cap the Great Leader, Kim Il Koetzle"s budget will burst through? My guess is 5-6 percent above the cap.
those poor taxpayers in glenville, being bleed dry.

Right. Scotia-Glenville schools, some of the best around. Safe walking, beautiful parks, hometown charm...yeah, could see how a City taxpayer would be jealous.

No one want their taxes to go up, but especially in the City where NOTHING improves, yet we keep paying more.

What exactly are we paying for? I know retirements, benefits, health insurance for City workers but what happened to our parks and our neighborhoods? Since when did rebuilding a City block Downtown take precedence over improvement throughout the entire City? Since when did the City Council turn its back on the taxpayers and neighborhoods and instead jump into bed with the Metroplex millionaires-club?

As a City taxpayer, I'm tired of this perpetual state of waste - both of my money and of those in charge.

I would put the City's School District up against any around. Many of the children have attended Ivy League Schools and that is something very few of the other districts can claim........When was the last time a child from Duanesburg or Glenville attended a prestigious Ivy League School. Idiots like you can't see reality........

GG, Please provide the test scores of the city school district vs the others.   Please provide the graduation rate of the city schools vs the other school districts.   Please provide the typical tax bill of houses of similar assessed value, taking into account the equalization rate.

Well????

And GG says "huh?"

The ONLY way I would be worried about this is if Glenville decided to consolidate services with the City....but they were smart enough to walk away. A few times.

SHARING SERVICES is NOT consolidation -- and if you really believe in lowering taxes -- SHARING SERVICES is not only the smart thing to do but essential.   If you believe that sharing services is a bad thing -- then you obviously are NOT serious about wanting to lower government spending and taxes.

Guess you and your aliases are now back from mass. Bet Glenville's budget doesn't deplete all reserves like McCheese's in the City. Another new low. What about the 48% of City students that don't graduate-will they be attending an Ivy league college like your messiah Obama? Meanwhile the cases from the terrorist janitor are still  around. $250,000 paid out so far and more to come.

SB, would you bother to provide the proof that it is 4% in Glenville?   Provide a link to the budget document itself, or something on the town board meeting agenda?   Or the newspaper story which states it's 4%.

Well, SB?????     Where is it.     The local newspapers quote under 2% in Glenville once the proposed budget was announced.

By the way, you STILL REFUSE to respond who how the city of Schenetady will be under 2% WITH the fees.   How come you won't answer that?????  Becuase you have bno proof whatsoever

I wouldn't defend a single politician who OK's the tax cap...on other things yes,,,but not the stupid tax cap.....MOST OF US know that the cap doesn't cover the cancer of our government.......

These freaking DEM morons can't read. The proposed Glenville increase was 1.8% under the 2% cap. Thank God for REPS that care about the oppressed taxpayers. That is lower than the all DEM City morons who raised the highest taxes in the State 1.99%, depleting all City reserves and increasing all fees-including the DEM double garbage tax. Stop posting this Joseph Goebbels crap.

Glenville is the only town left in schenectady county that is worth living in. Glenville has surpassed Nisky for class and charm. Itis yet untouched by the city. It has one of the best schools, it's safe, it's clean, it has a great senior center, the residents are respectful and take pride in themselves and their properties, they have 'real businesses' and not run over by non-profits. No one is pissing on the sidewalks or puking on the streets. They don't have shooters running loose.

Ya don't hear glenville asking their taxpayers to sweep sidewalks and volunteer to clean their town. The only negative I ever hear from those residents is the price of the cops!!! That must be universal, huh?

It would be interesting to see how many glenville folks are in line at the dss building and buying hot dogs from the vendor.
