Perhaps Gary McCarthy didn't 'really' lie. He apparently is just repeating what has been said for a decade. He is saying what he is told to say. He should have learned that it won't work much longer as proof by Susan Savage's election failure. Assoon as that ad came out about Savage's 'miracle'....that sunk her.

This is just the first lie on McCarthy's primary junk mailer. Plenty of more material to keep the media busy until Election Day. Of course, DVR said the mailer didn't exist. Saw Gary McCarthy on OSM bragging about 3,000 jobs on Sept 7th. In one week he created 1,000 more? lol.

every govt everywhere has created jobs.. -- when they hire administrators , dpw, etc. those are jobs.. as for your comment about select jobs -- that is not true.. 9/1- those jobs came here on their own and then applied for incentives to remain... they WANTED to be here.

In the case of Schenectady, the County and the City have failed in job creation. Instead of luring businesses to the City with a tax initiative, the 'leaders' over-stepped, over-reached and bombed. Moving existing businesses from City neighborhoods into a tax-exempt Downtown, giving restaurants with a handful of part-time employment huge exemptions and not bringing in one decent large retailer or company.  

Metroplex lost millions as well allowing businesses interest-free loans (repayable never) and actually forgiving tens of thousands of dollars in loans to connected businesses.

The Schenectady county and city should never have been involved with private business because all it has created is a connected inner circle of millionaire tax evaders.

The latest from City Hall is that the Acting Mayor never created 4,000 new private sector jobs. This was supposedly a typo from over zealous supporters- lol. The press is finally asking all phonies to list the jobs they allegedly "created". It's not governments role to create private sector jobs. They should concentrate on lower taxes and fees that prevent private job creation.

Mr. Wallach, there were 5000 jobs created. Please ask mr hull about that. He will confirm it.
