By Steven Cook Gazette Reporter March 2008
City police Tuesday were reviewing surveillance camera recordings Tuesday, looking for clues ina reported downtown sexual assault, authorities said.
Police received a call around 12:15 p.m. from a woman reporting an assault in the parking garage off Chapel Street, police spokesman Lt. Brian Kilcullen said."
Just wrong on this? What else is new. Gumshoe Gary should grab his pipe, trenchcoat and magnifying glass. McCarthy created 4 lob jobs for himself and has bought a brand new Mercedes! Thank you City taxpayers! Pay the McCarthy's EMS fee and double garbage, water and sewer fees. Record taxes=Progress.
McCarthy has enriched himself at the public trough. 4 public sector jobs for himself-with overtime 10th highest paid County employee. Meanwhile the oppressed City residents have record foreclosures with over 1,000 properties vacant. Keep the DEM implosion going! He gots a new Mercedes-you gots another higher tax bill.
Do women get raped/murdered/mugged walking alone downtown in broad daylight? No. Do women get bothered by weirdos? Yes. All the time. I personally don't like to witness fights, listen to loud profanity, or smell urine. These wouldn't make me a crime victim, but I don't want to subject myself to that kind of thing if I can avoid it.
There are folks who when on jury duty will reluctantly venture outside during a recess in court. They ALL complain of the same thing.......panhandlers 'everywhere', asking for money, asking for a cigarette, asking for a lighter or matches and yes some were even asking for a 'joint'! They see folks pi$$ing on the sidewalk, crossing busy roads without the walk sign, horns blowing...you name it...it's there for all to see.
It is NOT a pleasant venture. In fact it is more stressful then not.
As a side note....perhaps this is common place in other urban cities as well. But when these government clowns try to paint a picture of SCUM-nectady as a Mona Lisa when in fact it is a paint by numbers.....it is totally a misguided lie/sham! Just ask Susan Savage who lost miserably in her last election! She was the laughing stock!!

Schenectady Police say they have a suspect in custody in connection with a March 11th afternoon rape that occurred in the Franklin Street parking garage, near the Wade Lupe Apartments.
According to police, the suspect in question is already incarcerated. 23-year-old Brian Sullivan has been in the Schenectady County Jail since March 25th on a separate parole violation.
They say Sullivan was linked to the rape by DNA found at the scene. That DNA was then matched to a sample of Sullivan's previously existing in the state database.
At a press conference held late this morning, Schenectady Police Commissioner Wayne Bennett praised both the state database's role in the investigation and the full cooperation of the victim for helping in apprehending a suspect.
Police also wished to stress to the public that there is not a rapist on the loose in the city.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
There are men who don't like being approached continuously by pan handlers looking for money and cigs and having to step over pi$$ on the sidewalk. So it's not just a 'woman' thing!
I believe it was a 'male' that got shot in front of bombers.....yes?
