And your continuous REFUSAL to provide links to official sources proves that YOU have ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIBILITY whatsoever.   You STILL have NOT provided one teeny weeny shred of proof that Morris no longer has two STAR exemptions and you have not provided one teeny weeny shred of proof that he paid a penalty for violating the law against in getting two STAR exemptions.

Oh smokey said that s/he will be posting some facts here. That is a positive move to say the least. One can only hope, while anticipating the wait, that the information s/he is given is 'correct'.
However.......the tax rolls don't lie now do they?

The only jobs I see an increase in is the lowlife criminals that are invading our neighborhoods because the city pays no attention to the neigborhoods at all.

The crud have all the jobs they want burglarizing and selling dope.  There's the 4000 he created.

Quoted from Madam X
I am so sick of ALL the politicians talking about job creation, not just the local ones.
My question is, what jobs? My young friend I've mentioned before was ACTIVELY looking in Schenectady.

Oh it appears that you are getting this confused with the gazetto. It is the gazetto that is the cheerleading operative for the democon party. A liberal democrat stooge if you will. It is the gazetto that has lost all credibility. It is understandable how one could get confused.

the liberals tell the gazetto that they created 4000 jobs......the gazette takes their word for it......and bingo.....it's in print! It appears that most media outlets do the same. Great investigative journalism is sadly a lost art form. Perhaps that is why citizen journalists have become more credible and are gaining in viewer ship.

Quite sadly, what you say is true.
Investigative journalism is pretty much gone, and the media outlets all depend on press releases because it's more cost effective, and if they don't air, or print it, they won't get any more press releases.

During one gubernatorial election WTEN, became the George Pataki channel.
California could have sunk into the ocean, there could been an approaching tornado, but the first 4 minutes was of him dedicating a bike path in Rochester.
Not unlike when there was a serial rapist actively invading homes in Albany(something where an amber alert would have been appropriate), but seeing Liz Bishop's goofy hat at Saratoga  was much more important.
This would be a much better state if Golisano had won that election,

GE carried Schenectady for many many years, and everybody rode their coat tails.
When they left, the whole place went down the drain.
There hasn't been a mayor or legislature that's been worth a damn since far before I was born, and I'm pretty old.

After all, if you're at the top of your game, be it doctor,  lawyer, or anything else, do you really think that Schenectady is the place to be?

it just occurred to me that you naysayers have no proof to claim the claim that 4,000 were created. how do u know they were not? what stats do u have to show otherwise?> Once again, it is just a case of Dem-envy. lol. u cannot accept the fact that the Dems DID IN FACT create the jobs.. please prove they did not, otherwise shut your mouths,

Well...If you look at the Google unemployment graph (U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics) linked below, you will see that in January 1999, Schenectady County employed 69,523 and then look at the most current reading, in July 2011 Schenectady County employed 69,798...A net gain of 275 jobs.

And if you look at the 2010 U.S. Census results linked below, you will see that in 2000, Schenectady County had a population of 146,551, and in 2010 the population grew to 154,727 or an increase of 8176.

So by my math, which is based on the statistics from U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the 2010 U.S. Census, Schenectady grew by 8176 but employment only went up 275.  Soooooo...What are the other 7901 NEW Schenectadians doing if they are not working?

of course, u are able to determine the what if factor -- that being how many jobs there would be today without economic development right?> u know, for example, that perhaps the job loss would have been greater in a depression had it not been for the creation of 4000 jobs. you know that right> can u all the things that could have been and might have been? awesome.. who is going to win the world series, mr. seer?

You're kidding me right?  The 'what if' factor?  What if there was no metroplex and the County lowered taxes to encourage ALL entrepreneurs to open up business in Schenectady?  What if sales tax was stayed at 7.5% and County residents could keep that money in their pockets?  What if they lowered sales tax to 7% and allowed residents to keep their money, in order to encourage business growth?  What if downtown business were paying their property taxes for the services they receive - instead of letting the homeowner shoulder the costs?  What if Glendale was privatized and put back on the tax rolls?

There is lot of 'what if' scenarios in a complex economy banana-man, that’s why time and time again central planning ALWAYS FAILS.

The fact still remains, based on the official statistics, there weren't 4000 jobs created - not even close.  It doesn't matter what the 'what if's' are, it is the 'what is’' that matter.

what if the moon were made of cheese?

the fact is, u cannot prove there were not 4,000 jobs created. the bureau of stats only tells u how many jobs there are period.
