Quoted from Hamburg
None of the nayboobs have opinions that MATTER since none of you live in that neighborhood, nor are any of you to be taken serious as community members of good repute..  The RESIDENTS of that district have chosen to cast their votes for ALL of the members of the Democratic Town Board so it is implicit that they TRUST the current Town Board to make the RIGHT decisions regarding this matter -- furthermore the entire Town Electorate has chosen the Democratic Party to make the RIGHT decisions and this matter effects the ENTIRE Town.

Oh, eally?   You know for a FACT that the residents voted for ALL of the members of the board?   You know who each resident is and you know how they voted, yes?

And you know who each "nayboob" are and their addresses and you CAN provide our home addresses to prove that NONE of us live in that immediate area?   I will state that no, I do not live in that immediate area..   But I DO pay town taxes -- UNLIKE YOU.   Some on these boards are obviously town residents, some are obviously in the city.   But just remember ham, residents, regardless of the municipality in which they live, see what happens in their own municipality or others, or the whole county and it's not all good, particularlly when the leaders snub their noses at the taxpayers who are DIRECTLY affected by projects like this, and ALL of us who are taxpayers are being hurt by the current leaders who have been stealing from us and giving our money out to the well-heeled and politically connected.

And for your info, Ham, the residents there do NOT want the project!!!!   And I DEFY you to produce EVIDENCE that they do!!!   Provide the minutes of the meeting with their statements verbatim.   Provide the newspaper reports where the residents are quoted and the comments are "we WANT this project," and "we FULLY SUPPORT this project."

Come on ham, produce the DIRECT EVIDENCE for us that suppport the statement you wrote above.   Of course, ham will NOT produce one teeny weeny shred of evidence, so let's just wait for his usual obscene response---that obscenity that describes how he gets his jollies

Hamburg, I share a home on Guilderland Ave. with my relatives, and although we don't live in the immediate area, I find it comical that you would arbitrarily decide that anyone who opposes the siting of a CVS on the proposed parcel doesn't live in the immediate area. I think you are being very unfair to those who do not agree with your position.

My belief is that there is room for compromise, and that before any decisions are finalized all avenues should be explored.

And Hamburg, I'm assuming that your use of the word Nayboobs is a play on words of the phrase "nattering nabobs of  negativism" written by Nixon speechwriter William Safire for a speech given by disgraced former Vice President Spiro Agnew. I must say that your overuse of that term is quite boring.

Isn't part of it a dungeon like Mr Alexson had?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

CVS proposal changes, town’s decision remains
Rotterdam planners still won’t support zoning change

By John Purcell As of Monday, April 9, 2012 -10:25 p.m.

#ROTTERDAM — Developers hoping to build a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of Curry Road and Guilderland Avenue in Rotterdam tried to allay residents concerns at a recent Planning Commission meeting, but detractors didn't waver.

#The Rotterdam Planning Commission heard changes for a proposed 13,225-square-foot CVS building on Tuesday, April 3. The most significant was the creation of a hammerhead turn around at the end of Lawndale Avenue to address concerns about an increase of traffic.

#“There would be no conventional or customer traffic from the site going onto Lawndale,” said Donald Zee, an attorney representing the developer.

#The new plan also removed 10 parking spaces, bringing the total to 70. Green space was reduced by almost 1 percent with the changes to about 23.5 percent. Commission members didn’t change their previous negative recommendation given on Feb. 21, with Ronald Severson once again casting the sole vote supporting the rezone.

#Commission Chairman Thomas Yuille once again cited traffic concerns as the reason behind his negative recommendation, but he said the turnaround did address neighbors’ concerns.

#“I think this plan is a good thing for the people on Lawndale. It keeps the traffic off their street,” Yuille said.

#But Yuille said motorists would likely find another shortcut in and around CVS, moving traffic concerns to a new area. If the new CVS was built, Zee said the store being leased at the five corners intersection would likely close.

#Zee also referenced findings from the recent five corners study to support not redeveloping the five corners store. Even if the new project isn’t approved, the five corners CVS is still likely to close, Zee said. There is also another CVS located on Broadway, which is also leased.

#Zee previously said if the new CVS was approved the two stores in town were planned to close.

That's all that needs to be said in the reasoning why he shouldn't be sitting on that board.

The article missed that when Mr. Zee threatened the board with CVS moving out Mr. Yuille replied with something to the effect of remember that there was another pharmacy chain interested in our town a few years back and if CVS moves out they might come back to the drawing board with another building.
