Gee, I wonder who the one vote was.  No, I don't, we already know, and we don't even need to know who the other people on the board are.

DV should just run up to the reps from CVS and tell them to build next door to his aunties' house; actually I think he once said he'd be find if they built it across the street from him.  So they ought to build it across from him, can you see him driving aunties' car across the street because he'd never walk across the street.

Planning commission voted against again 6 to 1

Good for them!

It appears that CVS made a major error when they purchased that property years ago. Putting a CVS big box on that corner now would be like trying to stuff 10lbs of sh!t in a 5lb bag!!! They should have looked to the future and realized that the 25 exit and I88 would be prime for developing. Ya know....the outskirts of town as opposed to smack dab in the middle ofan already congested town.

It would make perfect sense if CVS took down the old building(make it shovel ready) and sell it.........then move farther east or west. CVS has not been a very good rotterdam neighbor. They bought that property and let it sit and rot for years. It looks like a piece of sh!t. How can anyone think they would do any better if they got a pass to develop there now?

Kudos to the rotterdam planning board!!!!!

Well, that sort of goes against what your cohort is trying to do, especially in regards to this link.  He wants to totally destroy an entire neighborhood of the town.  Are you for the destruction of this neighborhood or do you think that it doesn't matter what the neighbors want, the CVS should be built?

I think that is a rather unnecessary statement. As a new member I am shocked at the statements you direct at other members. Have you no decency!

He admitted it!!!!!    it would INDEED be THE WORST POSSIBLE THING to have a CVS right on your street, your neighborhood.   Suggesting that CVS build next door to the house he lives in and he responsds that we are terrorizing him!!!!

But DV is TERRORIZING those nice homeonwers who have a nice RESIDENTIAL street, terrorizing them by trying to put a huge CVS in their back yard, putting the lives of their children at risk.

And you notice, DV will not and cannot explain WHY so many pharmacies are "needed"    Why is it with so very very very very very very very many EXISTING pharmacies, why MUST there be another, and especially only feet away from another one?  Yeah, let's see him explain WHY so many pharmacies are NEEDED

.

Is CVS even the actual owner?

What exactly have they done, if they are the owner, to be a "bad neighbor"?

What about the houses on Curry that are in total disrepair, just waiting for their big payday? Why aren't they being cited for code violations, like railings, windows, etc?  How come nobody is complaining about those?

I don't see anyone selling property to anyone other than the developers in this project.  Even if they have to pay taxes on these propertys for the next 10 .. 15 .. 20 years, it's still worthwhile to hang on.  The deal WILL happen, it's just a matter of which administration makes it happen.

I don't see this going any other way.  The only ones being hurt are the home owners that have buyout  offers / contracts from the developer.  They can't do ANYTHING with their properties are released from the contract.  Hope nobody wanted to move anytime soon.

A dead end was a great compromise to all the concerns, and the PC blew it.  Kudos to the member (who shall remain nameless) that voted to move it forward.

Yup....that's the same mentality that the elected officials have in the city of schenectady. How's that working out for them?
And how great would that be for rotterdamians.....build a new cvs at the 4 corners, and have a sh!thole left for the residents at the 5 corners!!! CVS could care less about the town of rotterdam or it's residents. Looking at the sh!thole at the 4 corners for years and years should be the FIRST clue!!

It's just how Walmart does business in small towns!! Kudos to rotterdam's planning board!
