Dessert -- now that is an important topic when it comes to planning a great BBQ establishment.  Don't worry -- between my family's and my own recipes and, hopefully, contracting the services of a great pastry chef who lives in Rotterdam ---  my BBQ Restaurant will have the world's greatest desserts.

Carrot Cake, Pecan Pie, obviously the various fruit-filled pies (apple, blueberry, cherry)  ---- and of course Mincemeat Pie.

There would also be a selection of cream pies -- boston creme, coconut creme, banana creme, etc ....

and some version of the "whoopie pie"  --- and of course --  a variety of puddings  including bread pudding, my favorite - butterscotch pudding -- and that southern classic grapenut pudding

Your "whoopie pie" will probably taste about as good as your "whoopie cushion."

Of course -- being a promoter of buying locally -- the emphasis will be to purchase ingredients and supplies for the Greatest American BBQ direct from farmers/producers within 100 to 150 miles of Rotterdam.

Certain items -- like crawfish and gulf shrimp -- will have to be brought in from a bit further away.

No they won't. Because this will never happen. You can have imaginary shrimp and dream crawdads!

The BBQ place should have a stage and dance floor -- for some good old country music and dancing.

I have an idea........never mind insignifcant wishing.......why don't these candidates put their money where their mouths are.......no flyers mailed....but the money they would have spent on those d--n nonsense...donate to the victims in our own area......wouldn't that be a great thing??????and let them get voted are their laurels that they have already stated......there are enough signs out there to keep voters reminded hwo is running....

Good idea.....except......people who have donated $$$ to these candidates did so with the expectation that they would use this money to 'campaign' with. Which of course includes those nasty mailers. But none the less....they didn't give candidates $$$ to turn around and give it to a charity of their choice. Just sayin

sounds question and confuse to me.......so the donors gave to that cuase......why not just save face.....and do the right thing....this campaign is such a farce anyway.....I know if I gave my money, I would want it turned around to the people who deserve it.......but that's me.......doing a good deed is what the town needs...

Everyday we should do a good deed for someone...what's wrong with having a heart in politics ?????
