I am sure it will pass since they have the backing of "The Chief." |
| "While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat." |

WHAT??? It hasn't even been a year that the rotterdamians voted down a tax hike for an ambulance service 2-1. Not to mention that we are in the worse recession since the great depression!!! They need to retract this and try again in a couple of years. I'm sure the south sch'dy taj mahal has plenty of room for them to consolidate!! |

But the election will be held on Christmas eve from 11am until 2 PM or something with no publicity. |

Everybody that works in the private sector that IS working lost 40% of the retirement savings in the 2008 market crash...Their pay has stayed stagnant and the price of gas and food has been going up. I understand that fire protection is important, but I think we are going to have to find more creative and efficient ways to provide fire coverage for the town.
Has anybody ever heard the phrase 'trying to get blood from a stone'? |

But, you KNOW they're not - they're thinking "quick, get this in before anyone notices" |

Obviously none of you Naybobs put your lives on the line as First Responders. If you did, then you would take it as a matter of faith that the First Responder wants to return safely at night to his family and needs the very latest equipment and facilities to handle the danger of his calling. People in the GOP simply don't understand that because all they care about is money. |

None of us have stated that we ARE first responders, and you have no clue the type of respect that we have for them, so you might as well just go and fly a kite. Some of us have many people who are friends and family who are first responders in more than one way. We care for these people on a daily basis and hope that they don't need to put their lives on the line, but are grateful that they have decided to do so, and know how to do so with the greatest safety for themselves and their (and our) community. |

Guilt doesn't work when people are broke and barely scraping by. Is Helderburg Meadow in District 5? |

Many folks in that area are saying that it will be well OVER the estimated $155/assessed property! Not that they care....they don't want to pay even $1.00!!! And most can't believe the timing! Recession....no jobs.....high taxes.....rems vote defeated!! Not to mention how much this hurricane/flood will end up costing! Rotterdam jct is barely hanging on and they want to bond $3.5M for a new fire house????? OMG Guess timing is everything, huh? |
