What America needs is a domestic Marshall Plan, infrastructure exclusive of union teachers & public safety personnel benefit packages.  It is obvious resources allocated to maintaining highways, dams & bridges went down a political rat hole.

The more money you give to the government the more the waste.  Allocate funds for infractures by reducing & eliminating unnecessary government. City, town, village, county, fire district, school district, water district, too much government.

Look at the City Of Schenectady, the sort of mayor concerns himself with a Golf Course while pit bulls savage postal workers & property taxes continue to balloon. The preoccupation with 'unnecessary government' illustrates that the people we elect or appoint have their heads rooted in a failed past.

Take money from pointless government.  Put people on the dole to work, 'volunteerism'.  If unions will allow it.  Break SSI away from Social Security, SSI is welfare, call it what it is & fund accordingly with periodic review.  Recodify the tax code ASAP.  Much of the tax code is more welfare with all sorts of gimmicks to promote broken families & broken lives.  Yes, get rid of tax incentives for corporations, let the stock holder bear the cost of R&D, pass cost onto customer.  Capitalism 101.  People pass children from one household to another to take advantage of tax benefits.  This is immoral & economically destructive.  If tax code is reworked logically without favoring 'poor' nor rich, money will pour into the government.  Industry will flourish & the need for a welfare state will be reduced.  Welfare will never be eliminated, we have a permanent underclass thanks to 'social progressives'.

The will to change does not exist today, it may in the future at a point in time when the solution lays in the hands of foreigners.  The end is near.
