Schenectady sewer advisory
Posted: Aug 27, 2011 9:11 PM

SCHENECTADY, NY (WTEN) - Schenectady is advising residents to not use their dishwashers and washing machines during the expected storm and in its immediate aftermath.

This will prevent undo strain on the city's sanitary sewer system.

Not surprised      Those dems in the city spend the taxpayers money on downtown instead of on maintaining the infrastructure in the city!!!!!!!!!!

What have the cheerleaders for downtown saying now?   Oh, the ONE LONE cheerleader.....does he think it's better to spend money on downtown or on the sewers?

Telling people they can't use their appliances because they have blown the taxpayers money giving it to the millionaires instead of spendig on on VITAL CITY SERVICES.

TERRIBLE decisions by the dems.

And of course, when city residents' basements get flooded because of the city's failure to maintain the sewer system propertly, do you think the city will pay the homeonwers for the damages to their houses??????    HELL NO.   The city does NOT pay the homeowners for the damages caused by the city's failure to maintain the sewers.   City homeowners not only have to pay the their own high taxes, they have to pay the high taxes on the properties of the dem crony millioniares and then they have to pay for damages caused to their homes, damages resulting from the city failure to maintain services to the taxpayers (and waisting THE TAXPAYERS' money on gin mills, theaters, hair salons, etc)

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Yes the city is falling apart due to the incompetence of progressive leaders that have been redistributing the income of the working class to both the proctors elite and those that choose not to work.

However this amount of rain could overwhelm even the most thoroughly maintained system.

Most municipalities are on a sewer advisory.
