The new young adults are now looking at their country with 'their' eyes....not the eyes from years ago. Big government, along with many other issues that came out of the 'last generation' is not looking so appealing to the generation of 2011.
It appears that some from the 60's/70's are still trying to fight the 'good fight'. That fight is over! The new generation of young adults are living in the present....2011....and are rising up for change, as they see it through their eyes. I'm sure that anyone from that era can equate to the generation of today. It's their turn now. They have bigger and newer fish to fry. It's their's and their children's future now.

Thanks for the advice Bumble... I will take it into consideration. When Right Wingers post on a Right Wing site, they tend to believe the daily rhetoric as if it were fact. Much of the posts on this site are grossly inaccurate, but others will read them and accept them as if they were fact.
Ron Paul is the dominate candidate on this board. However he is still a fringe candidate in the USA and especially in NY state. Many of the 'smaller government' views here are also fringe party views. The TeaBaggers represent a very small part of America and that share is dwindling... because it's a majority view on a Right Wing Board, doesn't mean it's a mainstream view in the rest of the world.

This clearly is not a left or right issue like the media would like us believe. It is most certainly a generational issue. Dem, rep or con....the young adults are looking for change in the government system. They appear smarter and less rhetoric driven then the last generation. Several polls are now out, assessing the demographics of the Tea Party Movement that largely agree the majority of its members are Republican, largely white, above the mean in age and income and voted for John McCain.

I can agree with most of this assessment...The fact remains, America is made up of 72% White, it would only make statistical sense the majority of this small government movement is White, the majority of Liberal Democrats are White...The reason this LARGE demographic of middle income, middle age(aka "middle class") is upset, is because they are sick of getting squeezed from ALL sides.
Middle Class - paying for the generational welfare for able bodied non productive American poor Middle Class - paying for the corporate welfare and being a wage slave for the corporate elite Middle Class - affording the government bureaucrat a better living(guaranteed pension, benefits, and annual raises) than the working class and small business owner who continues to run on the hamster wheel of production that makes this all possible.
I will proudly join this demographic you are attempting to slander...I am not ashamed of my race, productivity, or age...I will no longer be intimidated by the tactics of big government liberals who want to guilt me into submission to big government. Those tactics are falling on deaf ears.

WASHINGTON — White people will no longer make up a majority of Americans by 2042, according to new government projections. That's eight years sooner than previous estimates, made in 2004.
The nation has been growing more diverse for decades, but the process has sped up through immigration and higher birth rates among minority residents, especially Hispanics.

What does race have to do with ideas? Is the idea of smaller government race specific? I'm still trying to figure out how race plays into a political ideology. It's amazing how liberals continually get away with politically stereotyping the minority races in the country for their political advantage. Do African Americans, Asian, and Hispanic inherently like less liberty, less freedoms, and bigger more intrusive government because of their race? I guess as long as you can continue to teach them they have to fit a specific political mold, this will continue to be politically advantageous.
Based on Box's beliefs, Hispanics, Blacks, and Asians can in NO WAY believe in the small government philosophy...They are owned by the liberal democrat and can only believe in the big government welfare/warfare state.

You are correct shadow. It is the liberal media that 'tries' to divide and segregate the americans into cultures, ethnics, race, religion, have and have nots. And thankfully, todays young adult generation can see through that rhetoric and look at america as AMERICA!!! Not some rhetorical piece of real estate. This young adult generation is not interested in changing the constitution...they just would like their government to uphold it.
