it is more than $50 million in debt, and it is being paid off by the sales tax.,.. the sales tax is not a direct tax. you will not get a bill for the metro debt. and in fact, people from outside of the county will help pay it off.

Sorry... $100 million in debt...Everybody pays for that debt each time they go to the store to buy school clothes for their children, school supplies for their children, parts to repair your car, sales tax on the bill for the meal at the restaurants that you actually subsidize, along with the extra you pay in your property tax bill to pay for the services they are exempt from paying for.

....they are crushing the middle class, for the benefit of the few and the underclasses who are getting a free stay on the welfare plantation of New York State. The middle class is leaving which is just what SB and the other WANT!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

not sure.
.good question
anyone got an answer?

i believe the metro investment was about 100k, not sure how much of that was grant and how much loan...

still, he did a nice job fixing the place up, using mostly his own money... he would not have spent a dime without metroplex, of course.

Metroplex has awarded Waite a $1 million, 15-year loan, a $250,000 facade grant, and $50,000 to remove asbestos from the building over the past three years. They also provided a $100,000 loan toward a tax payment under the Empire Zone plan.

Quoted Text
While he didn’t provide a timeframe, Gillen said he was confident that Waite’s nightclub will open in the future and that “every dime” will be paid back.
Was it?

And now Paul Mitchell is tax exempt?

most of the gumbas moved to Saratoga after they decimated Schenectady by using it as a 'catch all' for their downstate pipeline comfort....

A tourist info bookcase at the nonprofit money pit! Enlarge the governmental gin mill! More unused parking lots that the State Comptroller attacked.

What retail? What corporate parks? And the funniest part no public comment. Keep the "progress" going-lol.

When Saratoga has a 'crime'....people are shocked!! When Schenectady has a 'crime'......it's life as usual!! It's, 'oh another shooting....oh another robbery.....oh another dead body.......oh another squatter........oh another drug dealer........oh another gang.........oh another stolen car.......oh another corrupt cop.............oh another illiterate graduates from schenectady schools.............oh another crack head...........oh more pi$$ on the sidewalks.........oh more code violations'!! IT'S SOOOOOOOOO SCHENECTADY!!

Having a dumbed down society is a liberal socialist progressive dem's dream come true!! The government grows, with tax dollars at the feet of the dumbed down. With the pretense of 'gov almighty' will take care of you because you can't take care of yourself!! IT'S CREATED FOLKS!!
