Unfortunately there is no Eugene McCarthy in the current DEM Party. There's no Humphrey or Scoop Jackson either. Anyone But Obama. Ron Paul is only 4 points behind in national polls.

If the GOP were to nominate John Huntsman or Chris Christie, they might stand a chance in Nov '12.  Among the present contenders, Mitt is the only one who may come close to defeating Obama.

I'm not even concerned about the presidential race as much as the posse that follows.....

who are in Mitt's posse?

they dont work as dictators(or do they?)

there are 3 branches and the only thing America is voting for is our mindset for the next 40years.....

it's a shame we used to be the pioneers of yesteryear that have turned into the "I deserve my benefits, I paid into the system, " cry a$$es....

they use this well to divide and mentally beat us over the head into defeat of self......

Great link Box, it seems the Republican canidates are polling almost backwards from what they should. Why are the smartest canidates getting no attenion and wackos getting tons of free press. Frustrating. Seems that the big corperations want a mental midget like Palin, Bachmann or Perry so they can more easily steer the agenda. Ron Paul isn't going to put up with their crap, thus he shouldn't get coverage.

A new Associated Press poll finds just 12% of Americans approve of Congress, the lowest measure ever recorded in the poll, with 87% disapproving.

The media is a special interest group just like the rest. Now I'm not looking for them to put paul in the front view for the electorate.........it would be nice to just have equal time. I would be pleasantly surprised it they did. But they know, like we know, that he will restore this corrupt government system that we currently live under. And the ratings would go down for all media outlets if he became president. I mean he isn't snappy looking like Mitt and Perry and doesn't have designer glasses like palin or nice looking like bachmann. He doesn't have any skeletons in his closet and doesn't knock the other candidates.....just the 'system'.

I 'will' support and vote for paul!!

Wackos get the most coverage because they make the headlines sensationalistic.   They create buzz/interest, which generates high viewership.   The more viewers the higher the news outlets can charge in advertising rates for the commercial ads we see during a telecast.    One just has to look at what makes up the bulk of any newscast.   It's usually made up of murders, floods, fires, sex scandals, and the like.   All sensationalistic subjects.  As usual it comes down to the $$$, as to be expected in any capitalistic society such as ours.   Just follow the $$$ and you will find the whys/wherefores.

Some news outlets are better than others.

If you want real news, watch BBC, PBS or NPR.

You forgot the People's Republic of China's Beijing News. After all, if the information isn't coming from the Government - how can you trust it?

Obama Wins In 2012!!!

Allan Lichtman, author of The Keys to the White House, a forecasting model that has correctly called every president since Ronald Reagan's 1984 re-election, says President Obama will win in 2012.

Said Lichtman: "Even if I am being conservative, I don't see how Obama can lose."

"Lichtman developed his 13 Keys in 1981. They test the performance of the party that holds the presidency. If six or more of the 13 keys go against the party in power, then the opposing party wins."

Notes Lichtman: "They've never missed. They've been right seven elections in a row. A number that goes way beyond statistical significance in a record no other system even comes close to."

Congratulations  Barack Hussein Obama!
