I guess you have a line you won't cross and italian satire is it.

Having read your posts this afternoon, I'm not so clear where that line is, but I believe it's a moving target.

I get a kick out of those Italo-Americans who will put a "Godfather" movie poster on the wall of their dorm but can't joke or use satire about Gumbah-Gangsterism. One form of art is art, and another is insult. Ok! Whatever you say! A lot of Italo-Americans I know don't trust the offa-da-boatta Italos, because a huge number of them are quite duplicitous and disloyal as Americans, preferring to hold the dual loyalties that many immigrants can't seem to let go off, no matter what race or nationality. However to speak so plain truth is often derided as "discriminatory." Of course the founding Fathers were also "discriminatory" when they chose to write the Constitution of the United States as to exclude the foreign born from the US Presidency. Maybe they knew something FS doesn't know about complete and utter loyalty to the American sense of nationalism...

So I ask you then, if the likes of Jay,Randolph and Madison were so inclined to that level of distrust, why would it be "racist" of other Americans to harbors such sentiments?

However, I much prefer (OK, sorry to sound like DVFOL) BRITISH GANGSTER MOVIES any day of the week to Italian-American or Irish-American ones!

Batman, I completely agree with you!  Signore, Tommasone, Vellano, Delgallo and Fiorillo should absolutely not be lumped in with Constantino, Parisi, Dagostino and Santabarbara!

Come on batman, it's not really that hard to follow.  The first group (signore) is clean and represents Italians that work hard, respect their families and care about the communuty.  The second group is dirty and represents people who use people, parties and hardworking rotterdamians  for their own self serving ways.  A couple of few of them actually embarrass the Italian community by.their immoral ways of life.  Not really hard to follow that is it?
