In 2012 I expect Barack O'Bama to win reelection.

Reasons;

The gross stupidity of the electorate.

Black (plantation) loyalty.  The welfare vote.

The 50% +/- who pay no taxes & in many instances receive a 'redictribution' REFUND.

Liberal left 'intelectual' insanity as seen in the JEWISH VOTE.  No group should be more anti O'Bama than the Jews & they are deceiving themselves as they did with Hitler.  The end will be the same but this time there is no America or England as we have known such to come to the rescue, as late as it seemed.

Corruption at the polling place, TROY NY proves that is a viable component to the election process.

Historical review'

Ronald Reagan deregulated the banks which caused US to go faster down the road we are on now.

John McCain was involved in S&L scandal, was precipitated some believe by manipulation by CIA people left over from Iron Triangle days instincts.  Both good Republicans.

Bush the lesser made war without adequate taxation.

Lyndon B Johnson DEMOCRAT waged the Vietnam War.  The Vietnam War got the CIA into the drug business, allowed the Soviet Union to build their navy up which Ronald Reagan had to spend our money on to match in latter years.  LBJ makes Jimmy Carter & O'Bama look like Jeffersons.

Then there is the FDR issue & socialist programs.

There are  NO GOOD GUYS in DC.  The O'Bama is obvious what he is doing to America but he is (was) not alone.  He is an 'easy hate'.  A convenient hate.  He is one of many.

History will teach someone when we are gone that the people who championed STATES RIGHTS were the wise ones, not the abolitionist, federalist, do goodies.  We will not be around to read these things but your GGGgrandchildren will in some nation not called America.  Enjoy!.

I wonder if Ira considers Millionaires among this group??? Many of those who pay no taxes are the elderly.  They live on SS and that's it.  They pay no or little taxes, but Millionaires???
The disabled, the handicapped, and the working poorest Americans pay no tax... But What About Millionaires???
Shouldn't Millionaires pay taxes...

I PAY MORE INCOME TAXES THAN 1400 AMERICAN MILLIONAIRES.  Yea, 1400 millionaires in this country pay NO TAX at all.

Not exactly the picture you see when you hear Conservatives complain about that 50% who pay no tax... and they like it that way!
Don't forget, George Worst Bush gave these Millionaires a TAX CUT to allow them to pay NO TAX AT ALL, and today's Conservatives and the TeaParty are fighting so that these Millionaires NEVER have to pay any tax.

Why didn't the Dems reform the tax code when they were in control of both houses of Congress and the Presidency. I agree with you that the tax code has to be changed so that companies like GE who made 5 billion in profit last year and paid no taxes shouldn't happen. Everyone should pay their fair share of the debt.

No Shadow,
This isn't about  'tweaking' the tax code. It's about fairness.  When the poor and the middle class pay and the rich get the largest tax cut in US history... and Millionaires pay no tax...  This will lead to a civil war.

Well if you revise the tax code it would be fair, individuals and businesses would pay a percentage of what they make with no loop holes to avoid their tax levy. No tweaking but a complete overhaul of the tax code because the way it is now it's not fair. You always seem to imply that the millionaires are conservative republicans but just look at people like Kerry, Kennedy, Geitner, Frank, Dodd and all the other Dems who were caught not paying their taxes at all how, fair is that? Let's not forget Box that when you raise taxes on the rich and businesses they just pass the tax increase along to the people who use their products/services and the people you want to protect, the poor, will pay more as well.
