to stop at Cumbys noticed  a LARGE group of kids (maybe 9-14 yrs. old) on bikes all across the side road not allowing cars to pass. The cars that tried to get through blowing their horns, well the kids were hitting the cars and  yelling. I remarked to my son "This is Hamilton Hill"  When my kids were younger we used to walk to Crane St. to go to white eagle bakery, or my kids bowled at Mt Pleasant lanes (which my uncle Ray ran for years) to get AWAY from the Hill. Now there is no escaping it.

We are kidding ourselves when we think that some areas of the city are any safer to venture into than parts of the Bronx used to be. Eastern Avenue, Van Vranken, Crane Street, Becker Street, they've all been written off.
A large contribution to the decay was allowing city employees such as cops to live elsewhere. I'm glad you're okay. Albany has big problems with groups of kids that age, Schenectady is just catching up.

This has been common place on altamont ave in rotterdam. Not in a LARGE group....just 3-4 kids. And of course you have the kids/adults cutting across on-going traffic almost causing accidents. Just like they do in the city!!

I hate the ones that walk in the middle of the road and don't even attempt to move over, then you drive by them and they give you that look like "yeah what are you gonna do about it" >

I have fun with those types when I'm riding my Harley. I get close enough to them that they feel the breeze when I go by and just before my front wheel is even with 'em, I whack the throttle hard.. it tends to wake them up.

That will definitely wake them up, a guy today opened it up on his Harley under the overpass on Broadway, scared the crap out of me

Well of course, the taxpyaers money is NOT spend in the neighborhoods where people live.  The taxpayer's money goes to the millioniares.

And dV cheers for the taxpayers to suffer while he brown noses to the rich and the dems who won't give him the time of day

Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I saw geese like that in Clifton Park today next to the Y. They have more brains though, and when you drive at them they move out of the way. These were ghetto geese for sure, just misplaced or stopping in CP just long enough to do the Hamilton Hill Shuffle in front of the cars. Maybe they left the ghetto because of the Schitnecktitty taxes...

Hmmmmm...????

Too funny. But the DEM working together idiots want to waste more taxpayer money on curbing and unused sidewalks. New sidewalks and curbs failed to turn around Foster Avenue or Van Vranken. The entire City will be written off if major changes aren't made in November.
