CardioMag, the high tech medical technology company on Duane Avenue has announced it is fleeing the County! They were supposed to anchor the Duane Avenue industrial site. Another job creator leaving the tax and borrow County. CardioMag received over a million taxpayer dollars from the City and thousands from Metrograft "planners" for parking, curbs and street improvements.

CardioMag will relocate to British American Blvd in Latham. The working together unified DEM County redevelopment crew could not be reached for comment. Make sure to add these jobs to the over 10,000 that have fled this County since Metrograft was started.

Cardio Mag moved from MA to Schenectady in 2000. Well, around a decade in the City yielded this company millions of dollars in handouts so that they can take that money, improve their business and move elsewhere.

Who cares anyway because the $5.6 million building they were located in is owned by the IDA and COMPLETELY tax-exempt. Again, another taxpayer burden except we actually paid for their success and downpayment on their new location in Latham.

Thanks for the news Benny because I'm sure the Gazetto and Gillen will spin this into cotton candy crap.

This is the site where we were supposed to knock down the neighborhood because of the scarcity of suitable industrial property, like the ALCO site, in the city.
Maybe they don't like it that they are next door to what used to be a beautiful monastery but is now some sort of prison without walls type of thing.
Oh well, we spent a lot of money to basically get less of an eyesore to look at driving down 8-90. Remember that orange thing with the OTB sign?

Death Ray said this is positive news. It gives him a bigger "footprint" for the national retailer he has been talking into coming to Duane Ave! ROTFLMAO!! Thank you City and County working together DEM morons. Millions in tax money flushed down the toilet, jobs fleeing to Albany County {not even Saratoga County this time}, while these DEM hacks continue to lie and collect huge public paychecks. Everything they do is tax exempt no wonder the City is broke and can't pay to repair roads or knock down eyesore houses. Another only in Schenectady County. Too small for a County-too big for an insane asylum.

That is exactly what happened. They took their taxpayer money and are running!! This is just the beginning folks. And 'yes'....thanks benny for the news!! Of course now the gazetto 'might' print some 'fluff' article. Something to the effect of there being businesses that are showing an interest in moving in. Another TEN YEAR WONDER that will make record profits off of the taxpayers then GIT THE HELL OUT!!

Great joke. This would make a prime location for a governmental gin mill/whorehouse. Tax exempt-the Metrograft way. A bigger footprint for another Gillen's Gulch like the one on State St below Erie!

And what City Council leader was promoting this as part of a plan for more industrialization along Duane Ave? Forgot his name. One million $$ in City taxpayer money flushed by the DEM working together idiots.

Another example of DEM working together works! Real classic because the City was conned into kicking in another $1 MILLION by Acting McCarthy-on top of the usual Metrograft handouts for parking and new curbs. Cousin Vinny said this was good before fleeing to Half Moon Cay. The whole thing is moving to Latham! Apparently Death Ray/Acting McCarthy ain't got no cookies left in the cookie jar.

I wonder if the condition of the road over there for so long had anything to do with the decision to leave. Not the reason, of course, but maybe the final straw.
The convenient access to 8-90 was a plus for that site and with the way Duane Avenue was it was no longer convenient more of a daily never ending
hassle. If you worked there and wanted to run out at lunch to one of the businesses along State Street, like to the bank or drugstore or food places, youwould need to return along Kelton to get back in a reasonable amount of time too. Everybody who commutes gets inconvenienced at some point in time, but that had to feel excessive.

Read it here-now. Read the cotton candy crap in the Gazetto later.

Cardio Mag is hoping to relocate to Texas! LOL! Latham is only a way station on the way to Austin or San Jose? Like Cousin Vinny-why couldn't they hold on in Schenectady? It's not like the high taxes drove them out. The City taxpayers picked up their bill. Like Proctor's. Like Key Hall. Like Bomber's. When the largess ends-they flee. The renaissance bus has just run out of other people's money.

It is a RENAISSANCE!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Thank you Metrograft morons! Thank you Acting McCarthy for pushing this "plan" and flushing over one MILLION CITY dollars when you were a mere councilman!
