I believe the reason that Obama won't put anything in writing is because he's afraid to because he won't be able to deny what he said the day before when he gets push back from his left wing. Obama is doing the same thing he did when he was a Senator when he voted on bills, he voted present so that he wouldn't have to take a position on anything. He did manage to vote no on raising the debt limit when Bush was asking for it.

This statement makes no sense at all!
Obama is not a trial lawyer... other than that they are both black, he has nothing to do with the OJ case, and nothing to do with Anthony.
OJ got off because the LAPD framed a guilty man, and Anthony got off due to lack of prosecution evidence.

If his rhetorical speaking skills were as great as you make them out to be, he'd have a Debt agreement.

Wow, reading this discussion really explains why we are where we are. Everyone is so polarized that they can't admit when there side is wrong. I wish everyone on here would post one thing there side has been wrong on, and saying the representatives on your side of the argument aren't extreme enough is only counter productive.

The more tax money the government gets, the more it wants to spend, and overspend. It is too large, attempts too much, interferes too much and loses control of its finances too much. It is irresponsible to hand them more money they can waste. We need to lessen its scope and deprive it of the money that it wants to spend recklessly. I say, cut cut cut cut, don't tax anymore from anyone. Let our private sector blossom again instead of depriving it of the life blood it needs to get back on its feet. The biggest problem we have now is a government that can't maintain fiscal discipline and a private sector that is struggling while our government(s) want more of its blood to waste. Businesses big and small have no confidence in the governments' ability to spend the money THEY earn and send to the government, wisely. In that scenario (uncertainty and lack of confidence) how does one look at private sector and say " I know the government squandered what you gave them before, but if you give them a just bit more they will use it wisely and behave themselves."

Nope. Time to cut. 3% or 5% is not the end of the world since we all have had to do with much greater cuts.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

We must give the government more money to spend because they do so much good with it.
Obama gives your tax dollars to rebuild Muslim mosques around the world
- Tim Wildmon  Thursday, August 26, 2010

Dear Friend,

According to the Associated Press, the Obama administration will give away nearly $6 million of American tax dollars to restore 63 historic and cultural sites, including Islamic mosques and minarets, in 55 nations. See the State Department document here.

This is an outrage! Our country is broke. And can you imagine what the ACLU and others on the secular left would say if these monies had been spent to repair Christian churches? They would be screaming “separation of church and state!” Funding Islam on foreign soil with American taxpayer money? Not a whimper.

The latest taxpayer givaway includes $76,000 for a 16th century mosque in China, $67,000 for a mosque in Pakistan, $77,000 to restore minarets in Nigeria and Mauritania, and $50,000 for an Islamic Monument in India.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the U.S. program to restore Islamic and other cultural sites in other countries is taxpayer money well spent.
Take Action

Contact your member of Congress today! Ask your representative to immediately condemn this waste of taxpayer dollars and begin an investigation into why American taxpayers are footing the bill to rebuild Islamic mosques overseas.

Better,
Obama's Afghanistan policy is IMO wrong.  I allowed at least two years for Obama to turn the war around or leave, after that IMO it's Obama's war.
The Surge in Afghanistan was a success, but since 'victory' there is impossible, that success is irrelevant.  Especially since the end of Bin Laden, there is no reason to be fighting and dying in Afghanistan.
