Aw, what's the matter SPEECHLESS VOICE OF LIES.....you can't respond by answering WHY your dem buddy socialists FAILED at checking the credentials of a candidate for police officer.

Gee, fellow readers, if these dem buddy socialists, rip-offs of the taxpayers, don't bother to check the accuracy of the education info provided by the candidates, do you think they even bother checking their personal backgrounds?   No wonder there have been a bunch of druggies, liars, attendance abusers, etc.

Mistakes happen ..

When London established its modern police department in 1839,  one of the first officers hired lasted about 5 hours on the job ... he got drunk during his lunch break .. and was fired.

As for this case - since we only know what is printed in the paper (and that is not the whole story) - it is hard to cast judgement on either the recruit or the police department.

I wish all the remaining new recruits all of the best -- as they embark on a very challenging career.

Gosh DV, you just CAN'T admit that your dem buddies FAILED BIGTIME.     You grasp at straws with your comment in "(and this is not the whole story)"    Well, then you must know something we don't?    PROVE IT DV.....;PROVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    PROVE THAT IT IS "NOT THE WHOLE STORY' as YOU clam.

You can't prove anything DV.   You NEVER provide one shred of proof to support ANYTHING you write.

THis occurrence is just reflective of the failure of the city.  With all issues of the cops, under both administrations, and then your buddy the former Mayor of BullSh*t says he's cracking down, and now there is a wannabee mayor who you would THINK, based on his work in the DA office, of the need for an indepth check of the candidates, yet NEITHER of  YOUR DEM BUDDIES bothered to see to it that the credentials of the candidates were REALLY checked.

Someone didn't do his or her job, and this young man gets publicly embarrassed for no good reason. They should've published the names of those responsible, but I think with the city nobody has been in charge and on top of things for so long, no one even knew who was supposed to do what.
Some cities have an elected official, a mayor I think it's called, and that person kind of oversees the city's business.
We need to go back to the city manager form of government.

boy they screwed up big time.

embarrassed my foot.  When a person applies for any job the requirements are always stated he knew damn well what he was doing

I respect the time this guy had in the service but I am wondering why he went to such a low level school? most likely he knew all along he couldn't make the grade at a real school. I am curious to hear where he stood in regards to ranking in his police class?

I wonder what his record in the service was?  Again thinking why did he choose such a low level school?

I know I am sounding harsh but a cop's job is one that effects my safety and I am not pleased one bit at this issue.  Giving someone a guy with ultimate control over a person is a serious issue.

And the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Democrat crony bureaucrats, and the Democrat appointed Chief making the six figure salary are paid to supervise and manage this.  I'm not going to blame the 22 year old kid that risked his life in Afghanistan for $28K a year.

The blame for this fiasco falls only on the all DEM idiots at the County Civil Service. Someone should be fired for failing to check this out. They are paid to check applications and failed miserably. The chief is not in charge of checking applications but the fact that he stood by the pathetic County civil service is disgusting. Another working together works disgrace. One a day now.

This military veteran should have gotten credit for time served in a war zone. He was more qualified than 99% of new recruits. This problem should have been spotted by Civil Service hacks and credit given for service in a war zone. He wanted to serve and should been allowed to serve given his outstanding military background. Totally mishandled and fumbled by County Civil Service DEM hacks.

It is interesting -- the Republicans like   GrahamBonnet (Joe S) -- who used to campaign on being so pro-law enforcement  ... are the first to bash the police department every chance they get.

I do wish the new recruits well --- and ALL of the men and women who serve in law enforcement.  I am grateful for their service.    When they make mistakes, I expect them to fix them and learn from them .. and move on.

And nothing any two-bit candy monger has to say - no matter how vile or vulgar - will ever stop me from proudly supporting  our community's FINEST PUBLIC SERVANTS.

No one is bashing the police dept. Just laughing at the incompetence that governs the city!! This is just clearly another example of how inadequate McCarthy is and would be if God forbid he was ever elected as mayor!

Well -- he WILL be elected Mayor -- so don't worry about that.     Furthermore, the real problem with reviewing the application -- happened at the Civil Service Commission.

And -- you folks should still be ashamed for bashing the police department.

Huh?   does DVFOL know how to read?

Quoted Text

Quoted from bumblethru

No one is bashing the police dept....

And AFTER that comment is posted, AFTER DV READS those words,  DVFOL responds with:

Quoted Text
And -- you folks should still be ashamed for bashing the police department

And DVFOL has so little intelligence that he does not know that it is the appinting authority who has the ultimate responsibility to verify claims made in an application for employment!!!!!!!!!!
