SCHENECTADY
Stratton planning to close down PAC

Former Schenectady Mayor Brian U. Stratton, now an offi cial in Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration, is dissolving his political action committee to comply with Cuomo’s anti-infl uence-peddling directive, though state records show the account remains active.
Stratton began closing his “Schenectady First” PAC after joining the Cuomo administration in April as director of the state Canal Corporation, according to his former director of operations in the city, Sharon Jordan.
“We tried closing it in June and found out there were a couple of reports to be filed. It is still open,” she said.
Although open, the account is not accepting donations, she said. It did accept $17,658 from the “Friends of Brian Stratton” campaign account, however, in May. That was when Stratton dissolved his re-election campaign.
Stratton closed the accounts to adhere to Cuomo’s directive to his appointees not to accept funds or spend money from their political accounts, according an Associated Press report in April. .................>>>>....................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01000&AppName=1

Stratton can't close his PAC {6 months} later because it is still missing reporting forms from 2006 and 2007. Grate job Sharon Jordon-what's 5 years late between DEMS?

Then this beaut; "Stratton used the PAC for a variety of purposes such as clothing and medical services, deeming them political in nature." ROTFLMAO!! Working together works once again! No wonder after 8 years of this idiot the City is broke, can't pave roads, can't pay the school district nor County what it owes.
