Here is a list I’ve been working on now and then.  This is taken from the records of real estate transactions of CITY houses, as published in the paper in May for closings that occurred in February and the source cited is the county clerk, so these ARE official REAL records.  I excluded those that sold by, or were purchased by some bank or similar because that’s probably indicative of something other than a “normal” sale.  Some sales per county records indicated not a valid sale, i.e., not an arms length sale, e.g., could be a sale between parent and child or similar which is not reflective of true market value

Now remember, the assessed value is what the city claims is the market value (since the equalization rate is 100) in the city.   The sold price is the real true market value, that is, an arm’s length sale, the price that is sold for which is that willing buyer/willing seller (though most sellers probably did not want to sell for such a low price, but what choice did they have?)

Sure, a couple or three sold higher than the assessment value, but most are what?

So, DV, can you explain HOW jacking taxes up so high to spend on downtown is helping property values?    Can you?????   Huh?

Wanna bet, he won't answer, he will "yawn" are use that his term about the Negatives, rather than using the real term that we are---we are the TRUTH TELLERS., the people that present the TRUTH, THE FACTS.

AND the facts are presented with proof form official sources

Thank you for this review. You can't reason with these idiots. If the REPS were in charge they would be screaming for the Attorney General and FBI. How many other properties did the owner just leave and run away from these tax crazy DEMS? There is no renaissance. There is no miracle. Schenectady is one of the highest taxed cities in the NATION run into the ground by decades of DEM morons re-elected with no opponent.

I wonder why these property owners are selling? Don't they get that we are in a Renaissance?

Maybe they got a job with the County (which pays more than the equivalent job in the private sector) OR, they received a dump truck load of money from Metroplex and tax exemptions to start a business downtown, and then moved to Saratoga County.

The Renaissance is much more appreciated watching from Saratoga County.

Hardly a renaissance for the oppressed taxpayers. This is really a positive development. It helps new arrivals buy property increasing diversification. That's the DEM moron mindset. Everything is going to hell in a hand basket.

The City is flat broke because of decades of DEM nit wit programs. But if we pull a Joseph Goebbels and repeat the lie often enough some may keep falling for it. It is good! It is good! We must flush more millions into DSIC, Metrograft and arts and farts!
