Again ---  certain crimes are up  (over the past 10 years) ...   larcenies, burlaries
certain crimes are down (over the past 10 years)...   murders, rapes

Now, DV, how do you figure violent crime is down?????   Can you explain how going from 3,177 incidents of violent crime in 2000 to 3,928  incidents in 2009 os a decreased.   Explain that DV.   Explain HOW you claim this is a decrease?

DCJS reported the following early this year:

Quoted Text
Index crimes (murder, rape, robbery, larceny, burglary, aggravated assault) over the past decade:

Schenectady:    In 2000:  3,177.    In 2005:  3,687.          In 2009:  3,928.

DV, do you have the nerve to answer that one?   DO you have the nerve to explain how increasing numbers are a decrease?

Everything is great. Just ask around at the Italy club when you request your democrap petition.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Thank you DEM unified County economic redevelopment team! Excellent job on the Hamilton Hill Business District. Because of all your "efforts" the entire area is ready for the wrecking ball/demolition team. Problem? What problem? Perfect place for another City park. The City can't afford to maintain it. Maybe the redevelopment team can man push mowers and pluck weeds?

The city started it's decline when property taxes rose and home values declined. The people who lived in the affluent areas fled the city once taxes no longer reflected the home values. Which continues today. Many of these homes were sold cheap to many slum lords who offered cheap rent and section 8.

These affluent areas use to be the homes to many doctors, lawyers and other professionals that lived and worked in the city. Today, almost all of these professionals have either moved their businesses or purchased homes outside of the county. Every professional that I use within the county, lives out of the county. Clifton Park, Guilderland or Saratoga. Not even Proctors can keep them here. The city is too embarrassing in it's present condition.

With the county, now home to TWO crime ridden, over taxed, devalued homes, Hamilton Hills, crime is on the rise. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that where there was once a ONE gang controlled crime ridden area...there is now TWO! That is called a decline...no? No money to maintain the infrastructure. A welfare package that exceeds the mandates.

The city is a sh!thole! VOTE ALL OF THESE CLOWNS OUT!! And abolish the plex!!

It is exactly as you say, Bumblethru, I live here, my family has been here for generations, I see it every day. Conditions worsened by the DAY, since that giant property tax increase by that idiot mayor.
Cuomo announced plans to have regions compete for economic development funds. This sounds like more giveaways to the wealthy, in disguise. There was a letter in the Times Union where a woman was imagining what it would be like if the politicians all got together to do something for us. I think most people have bought into the idea that the citizens exist to please the political class, on some level.
