We don't enrich ourselves with unearned dollars from our fellow citizens. That makes us respectable.
I think I see what this is. If someone gets their picture in the paper, they're a celebrity, they are better than we are, we must look up to them. What they think counts more than what we think, if we are the childishly naive type that can't think for ourselves and need to attach ourselves to somebody "important" in order to feel "significant" themselves. This is the mentality a lot of our fellow citizens seem to have, which makes it that much harder for the rest of us who have to pay the price for their idiotic choices in the voting booth made from a star-struck mentality.

Cheers to Mr. Morris ... you deserve a standing ovation for all you have done for this community.

What has Morris done?

Has what he has done made the city safer?
Has what he has done increased property values in the city?
Has what he has done lowered taxes for the financially struggling homeowners?
Has what he has done improved the infrastructure in the city?
Has what he has done lowered crime in the city?
Has what he has done increased the education in the city

Why did he bail out of living in the high taxed crime ridden city with the lousiest infrastructure?

Truth hurts, doesn't it

Allegedly $5 million from one show alone and the financially struggling homeonwers have their property taxes raised and experience loss of city services!    Allegedly $5 million dollars from one show still has to keep his catering place for the rich and politically connected, can't even feed the kids summer--puts the burden on taxpayers via government grants to SICM.   Yeah, non-profit, my a**.    100% for profit

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
