Obama’s Popularity in Arab World Now Lower than Bush’s
Alana Goodman | @alanagoodman 07.13.2011 - 1:29 PM

James Zogby, the anti-Israel pollster who released these findings today, blames the drop in support for Obama in the Arab world on Obama’s failure to put the amount of pressure on Israel the Arab world wanted and expected. But according to the poll, the Arab world doesn’t seem to be happy with any of America’s foreign policy positions. Respondents rated Obama’s policies as the least popular, when compared with other leaders, including Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Killing Osama bin Laden also contributed to the Arab world’s negative views of Obama. In all six countries surveyed – Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia – the majority of respondents said killing bin Laden made them “less favorable toward the U.S.” Notably, in Egypt, only 2 percent said the al Qaeda leader’s death made them view America more positively.

Most surprisingly, Obama’s approval ratings are even lower than President Bush’s before he left office in 2008. They dropped from 26 percent to 12 percent in Morocco, 9 percent to 5 percent in Egypt, 16 percent to 10 percent in Jordan and 22 percent to 12 percent in the UAE (though they did improve in Saudi Arabia, and tick up slightly in Lebanon).

Obama’s unique background was supposed to make him a prime candidate to improve the relationship between the U.S. and the Arab world. But more than halfway through his first term, not only has there been no progress, it looks like relations are worse than before.

MT...
I posted the date, so I know exactly when it was taken.  It was the latest Gallup poll of the USA worldwide that  I could find.

Be my guest and find a newer one.

On its face, it's paradoxical that Barack Obama's obsession with plaudits from the Arabs and other non-Americans should lead to such poor Muslim ratings. However, I think that until an American president is willing to make public adoration of Allah, accepts Sharia law over the Constitution, and kicks Israel into the gutter, the Muslims will never be happy.

On the other hand, Obama's approval ratings have been dropping in America while he caters to non-Americans. The main reason may be that a lot of us think he's not good for America and is probably the worst president we've ever had.

I've long wondered why it is that almost everything President Barack Obama does hurts America?

I only half-understood the reason until I read Dinesh D’Souza’s book The Roots of Obama’s Rage.D’Souza points out that Obama idolized his absentee father, a man who railed against the impact British colonialism had on his native Kenya. Obama Sr. wasn’t a full-blown socialist, says D’Souza, but he wanted the Kenyan government to control  the resources of the country to prevent what he saw as economic exploitation by European powers.

Because of his father’s views and other radical influences on him, President Obama considers America the last of the great colonial oppressors, one that must be brought low so that other nations may rise, D’Souza says. This accounts, he says, for Obama’s apologizing for America all over the world, stepping on the throats of American businesspeople, huge increases in government spending and control, and blocking American energy development. A salient example is Obama’s preventing further offshore drilling in the United States while encouraging it in Brazil.

In Forbes magazine, Sept. 27, 2010, D’Souza writes:

“The most powerful country in the world is being governed according to the dreams of a Luo tribesman of the 1950s — a polygamist who abandoned his wives, drank himself into stupors, and bounced around on two iron legs (after his real legs had to be amputated because of a car crash caused by his drunk driving). This philandering, inebriated African socialist, who raged against the world for denying him the realization of his anti-colonial ambitions, is now setting the nation's agenda through the reincarnation of his dreams in his son. “

What’s worse is that much of this information was hidden from general view before the 2008 election by the powerful people who raised Obama from obscurity and by Obama’s  marshmallow Republican opponent, John McCann.

It sure makes a little sense of why Obama does certain things which seem to always hurt the USA economy and energy.
