Bumblethru is correct about what any serious business does with the day's receipts. We all know this to be fact.
The breaking through the wall part is what happens when you wish to make something look like a burglary. I know of a business in Albany where a similar thing happened just last year. Someone with access to the property wishes to divert suspicion from himself. We don't have to do a better job than the cops, I assure you the police will be well aware that this suspicious. |

 Yes! That's why the DEM morons installed a camera. Too bad it wasn't working. Mercury Morris probably shut that down too. Like he pulled the plug on OSM/Morris for 5 days. "Candy shoppe is doing well?" WTF? The coffeehouse is doing lousy and the volunteers are refusing to staff it for free. Someone tell Mercury Morris that involuntary servitude went out in NYS. Heard Mercury Morris has started his own investigation for find the guilty parties-lol. |

Every single business owner that I know, large or small....ALWAYS clears out the register at closing....ALWAYS!!! And there is aregister tape along with receipts to back up the daily sales. In other words, at the end of the day or shift, they always know what the total sales were...ALWAYS!! It just doesn't add up....cameras not working, doesn't know how much was taken, nobody saw nuthin'. If it 'wasn't' an inside job, then it was a good thing Northeast Jewelers moved out!!  It will be interesting to see if the gazette will follow up on this one and how they will spin it.
I can attest to the FACT that a number of businesses -- put the receipts in the safe at closing and count it the next day. Yes - they have register tapes and/or computer reports -- but the cash and checks are still counted and the deposit made the NEXT business day. The other thing is that often when there is a robbery -- even at a bank -- the statement released to the press will say "an undetermined amount of money was stolen". So quite frankly -- you folks are making a mountain out of a mole hill. |
