Jury of peers, peers, interesting word; The definition of peer in Webster's Dictionary does not meet the common held notion. Peers is understood to mean, equals. That is not what it means but should it?
The sequestration of a jury is absurd. Might as well lock doctors up after business hours or compel members of congress to stay off the streets when congress not in session. It is more important to insulate juror's from news than lying lawyers & witness's. Makes sense if you are out of your mind.
Justice should be blind not stupid. Trial by jury is a farce in America. Prosecutors (DA's) distort & defense attorneys lie or present issues that are not going to be proven. Muddy up the waters is the game. This is not justice that is lying.
Lying in court is an art form. Unlike the good old days of Perry Mason, perjury is not pursued or assumed to be normal for the times we live.
Lying is the Commandment most often broken, an element of lying exist in all of the Ten Commandments. America & especially our criminal justice system is an abomination & functions in defiance of God's word. Such a system is doomed to failure, who can deny we are headed to justice/moral meltdown?
As a juror in county & federal court, my intelligence & common sense was insulted continually through court proceedings. Police in violation of 'civil rights' & defense attorney's playing the 'race' card. I was more offended by the 'race game' than inept police.
In cowboy movies Native Americans would put a hot knife on a persons tongue to see if they were lying. It always worked. A lying tongue is a dry tongue. Forget the hand on the Bible, lying is pandemic, hot steel on a witness's tongue is practical.
The OJ trial & the recent trial in Orlando Florida prove the criminal justice system is broken beyond repair. The people, the public, who define what we are about have no moral scruples. Everything is satisfy the moment & lies do that. Establishing a culture of immediate gratification is destroying America.
