I have watched most of it especially the closing arguments. I think the prosecution did well when they played the phone call where Casey said that "everyone is worried about Caylee" meaning what about me.

I am... I think its going to be VERY tough to get a 1st degree murder conviction because of a couple jurors, namely juror #4. Court observers say its obvious that she is sympathetic to the defense. I see a compromise verdict, either Murder 2 or Manslaughter 1. One thing I don't see is a complete acquittal. The jury would be hung before that happens.

There's lots of things that should be local... all the clowns on the "Jersey shore", for instance.. It is what it is.
You got a white girl, middle class girl accused of murdering her own daughter....today, that's must see reality TV

..Casey Anthony acquitted of murder

By KYLE HIGHTOWER - Associated Press | AP – 15 mins ago
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A Florida jury has acquitted Casey Anthony of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Anthony began crying when the jury's verdict was read Tuesday after more than 10 hours of deliberations. She hugged her attorney afterward, and a prosecutor shook his head in disbelief. She could have received a death sentence if she had been convicted of first-degree murder.

She was found guilty of lying to investigators. Judge Belvin Perry will sentence her Thursday. She could receive up to a year in jail for each count.

Caylee disappeared in June 2008 and her body was found in woods near her grandparent's home six months later.

not guilty doesn't mean innocent, she will find that out very soon as OJ did 20 years ago.

From what I've read about the OJ trial since then,  many of us would have found OJ innocent, even though we believed he committed the crime.  The law lays down strict guidelines that have to be followed in these cases.

As one law professor put it, OJ got away with murder, because the LAPD framed a guilty man.

Probably so... but deliberating for 4 hours including spending 1 1/2 eating pizza isn't honest deliberation in my book.

Casey will be a Pariah for the rest for her life. Either her own personality or pressure from public scorn will make her life miserable. She will be in prison without bars. Mark my words.

If the trial didn't meet necessary criteria for conviction, there isn't much to deliberate.
As for Casey, like OJ... I agree.

The prosecution failed in it's burden. Blame is also flying at the jury. The court of public opinion has spoken-GUILTY! A needed example will never be set. Evil can come from a pretty girl. The dumbing down of America makes it difficult to find competent jurors who understand the difference between reasonable doubt and a shadow of a doubt.

You can also blame the CSI effect... unless its Gil Grissom airtight, there's reasonable doubt.
There is a saying that is true, most jurors are too dumb to get out of jury duty. None of these 12 clowns had a 4 year degree.

Thank God we've got a system that allows a person to be judged by a jury of 12 peers.  While I don't necessarily agree with the verdict, I also don't believe the prosecution had all the evidence they needed to convince, beyond a reasonable doubt.

In other countries, those on trial don't have the benefit of a trial - or jury - thank a veteran/soldier for fighting for our freedom!

Casey will likely not get any jail time for the guilty convections... She'll walk, with probation.

The jury may have found that the state didn't have sufficient evidence to convict her of murder but the court of public opinion has found her guilty and she will have to face that every day for the rest of her life.
